Cara literally saved my life... I was depressed and not a little but really depressed. I thought I wasn't worth living because everyone hurted me and no one cared about me, at least I thought no one cared. I had family problems and I was bullied by people I really cared about. I wanted dead but then I saw this video and I heard Cara's story. And I thought I'm not alone. she helped me. I own her a lot. thank you Cara♡

Pelin Çimen you are not alone. And I know it sounds dumb but it truly gets better..
@cybzer05605 жыл бұрын
I know this is years later, but in reality you saved yourself. So thank yourself. The only individual who can cure depression is the individual who is depressed. You made yourself depressed and only you can get out of it. Any form of help in your depression is an illusion to convince you to help yourself. When a therapist or in your case Cara Delevingne speak of advice and inspiration, it is up to you to carry out the actions of those words. Otherwise, the words become meaningless. But, ignorance is bliss, it's likely best for a person who is depressed not to know that reality and better to believe the illusion that others are helping them, when in reality it is the depressed who can truly lift themselves up.

Cara is such a genuine, caring woman. I love her sense of humor and I want to thank her for bringing mental illness/depression to the forefront. So many people go through life suffering in silence. I hope her message reaches those young girls who feel they are 'not good enough', 'not skinny enough', 'not pretty enough', 'not smart enough', etc...We have to stop this evil machine from churning inside their young heads. They deserve a life of happiness being who they are. Not what society or any other person thinks they should be.

I am %100 taken with Cara Delevingne. She's incredible. As for Rupert Everett, he's an idiot. Its a privilege to hear anyone be so open but especially someone like Cara Delevingne. Yet he would never shut up and let her talk.
@FMRebs9 жыл бұрын
Cara's still far from perfect but what is so admirable about her is the way she carries herself and charges through the myriad of life with such an ardent spirit. She's still young and has much to learn, but watching her throughout the years we can all tell that she is slowly evolving. She's very receptive, open to new experiences and criticisms. She's not taking the easy route too, the way privileged kids do knowing that they have a safety net. She constantly rejects comfort and convention, and receives compliments with humility. This was a very inspiring talk and I'm glad she did this; at least it shows everyone that she is more dimensional than just being that girl who makes kooky faces.
@glennoc85859 жыл бұрын
+Franz Rebs She has taken a lucky and easy route as she is connected and British upper middle which means you can't go wrong. The easy route is there she and she is riding it to make more wealth it's not coming from hard graft for 5 years at drama school hoping for a lucky break because mum and dad are from the suburbs. Cry me a river.
@FMRebs9 жыл бұрын
+glenny oc You are entitled to your own opinion, but to be honest it is too easy to say that about someone when you're just a spectator. In most cases such judgments are inaccurate. You are in no position to invalidate someone's personal struggles, and in fact in doing so along with thousands of others like you, doesn't it make the person under scrutiny much more miserable, therefore making their struggle even more reasonable? Yes, she may have been born to a wealthy family, but it's not like she asked for that. And that's the thing. Is it really hard for people to grasp that it's also possible to be wealthy AND talented at the same time? If you listened to the entire interview, you'd have heard her say she feels like she doesn't deserve any of her success and has suffered from self-doubt probably because of criticisms like that. It's not like she's throwing away her money everywhere anyway. She has mentioned in another interview a few years back that she's had to continue with her modelling so she can pay for her acting classes, which is where her heart really belongs. Not just anybody can become so in demand in an industry if there wasn't talent to back him/her up. But her talent doesn't even need arguing. I've seen all of her movies so far, heard her sing, play musical instruments and seen her on the runway and print ads... There is no doubt that she has excelled in all of those, and if you disagree then you simply have a different taste than her fans and you are free to ignore any news/media about her. I am suspecting that most of her haters are just those who got tired of seeing her everywhere on the news. You can't blame her for that though. Everybody knows how intrusive these paparazzi and gossip column writers can be. In fact she has even voiced out her frustrations about having a lack of privacy on her Twitter recently. She is just human, like you and me.
@glennoc85859 жыл бұрын
Franz Rebs Yes she has taken the initiative to try varied pursuits yet i look at some friends who have worked hard and have attained post grad levels of achievement in the arts, acting, performance, music etc and they in my biased opinion excellent. I have also see decent but also very average people in the artistic fields get the 'gig' all do to who they know. I have also seen Cara's movies and she did ok but no cigar. How many models have had a shot at acting and singing? I can think of lots of the last few decades. It's all becoming very market driven, model goes into Tv, film perhaps a 'Singing' career.
@FMRebs9 жыл бұрын
+glenny oc Oookay then, if you wish to believe that, then do so. But whether or not her wealth/connections did provide some leverage as to getting recognized right away, we can't deny the fact that the girl does have talent. You are free to adore/ignore her as you please... In fact, you are in no way obligated to view a video about her. But her fans are here to stay. Have a great day. :)

the reason she is all the craze is because she is so unique and different, she often acts weird but whilst other celebrities do that to appear cool, fun, mysterious, deep, etc (like kendall for example , i like her but she is not such an interesting person because she is just a regular girl who is famous and works as a model) but Cara truly thinks differently than most people, she has this weirdness inside of her. she didn't take off her shoes to show that she is "oh so natural and down to earth and such a cool funky person" but she actually IS that cool funky person, and only so few people stand out and have these traits in a positive way. it's completely fine to be regular, you can still be admireable, interesting and successful, but the reason why many artists are successful artists is because they have personalities that are just a little bit off, and cara is one of them

It is very sad to see that some of the happiest and carefree lookin ppl can be the most depressing ones. I myself can relate, and i bet so many other ppl out thr can too. I was always the class clown, wanting to make everyone happy, make everyone laugh, but doing so, i forgot to make myself happy. And im not taken seriously since im always goin round making jokes and looking all carefree but inside, im suffering. I'm a person, and 've gt feelings. Just because you think ive gt a 'good sense of humor', doesnt mean im ok w ppl stepping all over me. I hate to be a party pooper or making thgs awkward, so everythg, i kept to myself. Robin williams' death came as a complete surprise to everyone, i mean this guy's one of the most talented comedians of all time, keeping ppl of all ages laughing and entertained. You see, comedians, just because they're funny, everyone expects and thinks they're happy 24/7 , and so they put up a mask every single day, burying their problems inside them, little by little, it will bound to explode one day. And it did. Im not implying anythg here, just a theory of mine of why he chose to end his life. Been a fan of cara for nearly 2 yrs now, no way in any point ppl would've guessed she had depression. Goofy, social queen, looking totally carefree and everythg. I mean who could've guessed? Worst thg to do when you're sad is that you have to hide it. And i guess ppl in constant public eye has it harder than us. Having to go on with everyday life, putting on a smile for the cameras and all. Cara's got good ppl around her, her relationship w annie clark seems more positive compared to her prev ones and im glad she's in a good place nw. Just hope that everyone out thr knows that, its okay to be sad, its not a sign of weakness, it shows that you're alive, and you must not be afraid to let others know that. Its always better to be someone with feelings than a stone cold person.

She is human like us. If she has more money and beauty it doesn't mean that she is different from us.The true is that she is much more talented but everybody has something that make them special. People are divided into good and bad people who do good things or bad things. This is the only divisions that we need to stick. I feel sorry for her and for other famous people. It's not easy when you're famous, you have a lot of money, but that does not mean that you'll have another. Money and popularity are nothing if you don't have things that money cant buy. I want to say we are all humans and we should respect each other. I like Cara personality but i like what i see we need to know person to find out what it is. Everything it's just a mask. It doesn't mean that if she always smilling when she is on stage that she is happy in real life. Sry for bad Engl.

My gosh! She is polished! Genuinely surprised. Never watched an interview of her before, but hearing her speak her thoughts I am awed. Wow, newfound respect.

This has made me realise what Exactly I’m going through and I how I feel I still feel like I can’t talk to anyone about how I feel but I always come back to this video to just be reminded that I’m not alone and even though I’ve felt this way for a while, it’s not the end and I will have happiness one day

imagine that.. she was to depressed, droped out of school and picked up modeling.. its amazing how you will never seem to rot if you are born so beautifull.. i agree she has a brain and i love her charisma + she must've worked hard when she was a model.. but i just sort of realized that beaing damn stright pretty/handsome can open lots of doors, compared to one who is just average looking.. its unfair.

such a beautiful video but that interviewer was getting so annoying BUT that doesn't take away how powerful her speech was

Rupert Everett shouldn't be using the word STUPID while discussing about how she did in School. I have a learning disability too and I was shocked to hear him saying that.

does anyone know why she hasn't been seen with Kendall ? I saw the quote photo she posted on Instagram about not everyone is your friend something like that and I think that has to do with Kendall since she's still okay with gigi

"We witnessed these extreme experiences and suppression that happen to women, but really that happens everyday, and we're all used to it, in workplace and in a relationship, women are constantly suppressed, but it takes an extreme circumstance for us to realize it, because we are so used to it."

the omg Rianna point really showed he was caught up in the celebrity filter, esp as he kept referring to celebrities such as Courtney and kim kardasian. I like Rpert Everrett but I think in this moment he points didn't sink completely into his mind

Love this. Her display of vulnerability without fear is so refreshing. This guy was annoying but all the more reason to why I love her and how she treated him with respect
