Hey guys! I just wanted to share this since I'm getting some comments related to consuming animal products... I do believe God created animals and their milk for human food as well as feeding their young. This is the verse I base that off of. Just wanted to share because of course I respect someones decision not to eat/drink animal products if it's for personal health reasons etc. but I also think it was God's intention for us to consume them as well. However I do NOT think they should be tortured in the process which is why I want to learn where to purchase dairy products from animals that have been taken care of. "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat." This is Genesis 9:3 My understanding of this verse is that God provided animals and plants for humans to eat. The second half is clarifying not to eat human flesh. I'm NOT here to argue about this topic but thought I would share this to clarify my view on it since I didn't specifically mention it in the video :)

You are such a great mom! Such a cute idea to have Quinn make thank you cards. I like how you drew them and had Quinn just embellish with her painting! You’re teaching he to appreciate the people who gave her the gifts. Great job! I love the pompom flowers in Breas room to. That room is so cute! Hey Cara! Just wanted to say that in my experience, and I’ve heard others say this as well, almond milk and coffee just don’t go well together for some reason. My favorite combo for coffee is coconut cream (I use the Thai Kitchen brand) and maple syrup. I love hearing that you are learning more about where your food comes from. I’ve been forced to for many years now due to health issues. I love Lisa at Farmhouse on Boone. I think eating a good variety of foods in as close a state as possible to how God made them, is the healthiest way to eat and that is how she cooks. She has great videos here on KZbin and also a great podcast called Simple Farmhouse Life. I love my cast iron pans but there is definitely a learning curve with them and she has a lot of great tips about that as well.

Non toxic options are going to be cast iron or stainless steel. Cast iron is not as hard to use and clean as popular belief. You can also get enameled cast iron pots and those are great. Hey Cara! Those pom pom flowers are absolutely adorable! I might need to buy some for the new house! I love that you made little thank you cards with Quinn! Such a great idea! I'm sorry the homemade coffee creamer recipe didn't work out! It's so true that we think almond milk is a better option, but so many of them have such crap ingredients. I am vegan, Leo is dairy-free, Austin eats limited dairy, and we do almond and oat milk. I look for ones that are zero sugar and contain just the oats or almonds, salt, and water. There are definitely some good brands out there. If cow milk is something you and Eric are interested in consuming, I would definitely say look into a local organic farm. Someone you know takes care of their cows and don't use a bunch of unnecessary preservatives in their milk. You can always feel free to text me if you have any questions! I am very passionate about food and ingredients! Love the spring/Easter decor, even if you think they don't all go together. Check out Target's dollar spot. That's my go-to affordable decor spot! Hi Cara, i just want to say that it’s not necessarily a problem if you don’t know all ingredients in a food, foods with more complex ingredient lists are not necessarily always less healthy than than certain whole foods. Especially dairy, even raw dairy, is in itself of course not “meant” for human consumption, but meant to make baby cows grow. It is not the healthiest food for humans, and is linked to cell growth and has saturated fats (unhealthy). I think an organic plantbased milk option, especially the sugar free ones with relatively short ingredient lists are the most healthy choice.

@@xorayne_ yes there are a lot of unreliable sources that are promoting dairy nowadays, and are actually even funded by dairy companies and the things they are saying are not backed up by science at all. Just sharing my thoughts as someone with a background in agriculture…all of your animal products (meat, eggs, dairy, etc.) in the store are required to follow the same laws and regulations for safety as local producers. It’s important to do your research for your own family on what benefits buying local agriculture products can have (which believe me there are many!!) however I just wanted to help stop the misconception that the “store bought” products are less healthy or more dangerous than those bought locally. Once again definitely not arguing the point that buying and supporting local farmers is beneficial because it definitely is! Also not trying to attack anyone for any opinions they may have. We are all learning, and I think it’s great more consumers are trying to learn more about their food sources and how production is done! With less than 2% of the nation working in agriculture, the average consumer is so far removed from the farm or ranch and we are working hard to bridge that gap :)

I've found that oat milk tastes really good in coffee! My husband swears by A2 milk. Regular milk contains both A1 and A2 beta-casein, but A2 milk contains only A2 beta-casein.Studies suggest that A1 beta-casein may be harmful and that A2 beta-casein is a safer choice. He is lactose intolerant, but A2 milk causes him no problems. I'm vegan so I use oat milk in cold brew and loooove it. It's a journey for sure.

He will need to heal his gut first and then he will probably be able to have raw dairy 🙂 just look into healing the gut - it’s a little complicated 😂

welcome to the rabbit hole 🕳️🫠😂 i fell in back in 2020 when everything happened, & literally EVERYTHING i thought i knew my entire life… i realized was probably a lie. 😵‍💫 since then, i have made some MASSIVE changes slowly but surely & am still (& always will) continue to research & learn. always remember 2 things… 1. you are worth much more money SICK than you are well. & 2. America is a buisness. 💯😉 anyways. i’ll stop there. LOL. but, as for milks! definitely look at the ingredients because they are often full of inflammatory oils & gums 🤢 in general, the shorter the list, the cleaner the product. i use the Chobani sweet cream creamer. it is dairy, & i limit dairy, as well, BUT it only has a few ingredients, & they’re much cleaner than most. i’m still on the hunt for one that’s even cleaner that i love, but, as little as i use in my coffee, i don’t stress it too much. balance is always key 🤍

Okay this is soooo good. Wish I could pin it to the top but I already pinned my own 😂 I’ve had a few recommendations for that creamer so I’m definitely gonna try it out! Thank you for sharing all of this… seriously!

@@CaraJane 😂😂 of course! i share what i have learned everywhere i see an opportunity. it’s a very close second to “have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior?” 😂 seriously, though. SO so important to question all the things! you will gain some enemies along the way, but the journey is worth it, & you & your family will be better off for it 🤍🤍
