Caramel simple syrup or caramel coffee syrup (molasses version)
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2-4 tablespoons molasses (2 for a more traditional caramel flavor, 4 for more intense)
1/2-1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch salt
cinnamon sticks if desired
Put everything except the vanilla in a pot and bring to a boil. Once it is boiling turn to low and boil 10 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the vanilla and let it cool. Store in a jar or container up to 4 weeks in the fridge.
Caramel coffee syrup (brown sugar version)
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar

This is wonderful! As an encouragement, I’ve been married for over 28 years. We have always made our coffee at home. For our 20th anniversary, we used the money we’d saved from not buying coffee out, and paid for a brand new, beautiful, large pool. What a better way to spend the money! I’ve gardened and continued to increase what we grow for ourselves over the past 25 years and it has been really rewarding. I love watching your channel over my morning coffee to see how you do things and also get new ideas. Thank you for what you are doing. You seem like you’re having a great time and I sure enjoy your humor and personality. Have a beautiful day!

I just love your vibe and videos and your honesty. Many times I was called cheap, frugal etc. The reality is like a single Cuban mom and coming to USA with no family in this country I had to make some serious decisions and decide what was important and what was just “follow the American style”. I always was trying to understand how my co-workers could afford Starbucks every single day while I was making my own coffee. You make me feel less “ different “ Thank you.

@@cliviascreations I’m a first generation American and have been called the same things. However, after several decades they are calling me things like “lucky” and I’m saying no, it was the choices we have made. So, let us make caramel syrup from scratch and put it in our home brewed coffee and know that we are different than the average person, but that’s a good thing.

I stopped making hot coffee because I couldn't it right no matter what I tried, but I missed it. I started drinking cold brew and I'm obsessed. I haven't tried the Nescafe instant espresso, but it'll be in my Amazon cart in a hot minute! I can't wait to make the syrup as well. I adore salted caramel!!

I love oat milk for my coffee and chai teas. I get the shelf stable Modern Pantry brand oat milk at Dollar Tree for, you guessed it! $1.25 a carton! They also have shelf stable whole milk and 2% which I do grab for holiday baking and cooking so I save the milk from the store for drinking.

I typically add pumpkin pie spice to my mix to make the pumpkin feel one. Most people try canned pumpkin but it settles at the bottom and just isn’t my favorite. Hmm, I wonder if we boiled pumpkin in water could we make an infused water and add sugar to do something similar? Might have to try that.
