Hello everyone, hi Jordan, all you have said is true. All seems to be done correctly. We know, that our concept is not fastest RC ever, but this was not our topic. As you said, challenge was to design RC car for parts of the world, where most of the RC parts are not accessible. Springs, tyres, etc... But give it a try to drive with our CRC on the asphalt in the summer on your street! Then TPU tyres are absolutely OK. Thank you for your kind and honest review, and you guys down bellow in comments, thank you for supporting our webpage, and if you like it go to our YT channel and give us subscribe :). Thank you Jordan. Btw: we have also in our roadmap to add new designs of body, which will be completely compatible with chassis.

Cool man, keep us posted on the new designs :)

I almost built this.. I actually have built a lot of the other stuff on PrintedNest, such as the Caramel Minis for some kids.. but I’ve built too many TPU tires before and there is just too little traction for where I’d drive it. With a good rubber option, maybe brushless motor and a differential, would be really nice driving. Sharp body, though .. Good designers there.

Curious if you've tried a foaming tpu before like variosure tpu. It won't be as good as rubber but it's typically quite a bit grippier than any other tpu I've tried

You got it. I totally agree. I hope they make a v2 someday.

I haven't but I'll check it out.

@@lio1234234 there is a version of NinjaFlex that has just come out called "Edge". Sounds promising but I don't know anyone that has printed with it to see how it would do for tires.. and almost no one carries it yet.

Its just not necessary to 3D print everything, till even the tires. I like to make some custom rims to fit whatever tire is available in a compatible size.

The design itself is quite impressive, but to me it seems more like a proof of concept than a really usable RC car like ones from 3d Sets, the Tarmo or MK Ultra for example. That's one for a maker show to draw the crowd as it looks striking and shows the design possibilities of 3d printing.

Totally agree! Wouldn't take too much though to make it a bit more "RC-useable".

Cool design. I love it. Jordan, do you plan to offer a kit: screws, motor, esc, servo,
@rcprinter Жыл бұрын
Not at this point because I'm launching a whole bunch of new kits right now but possibly in the future if there's enough interest. We'll see how it goes.

Love the design. Too bad it does not come with standard wheel hexes and an option for proper diff / transmission
@rcprinter Жыл бұрын
Ya, it shouldn't be too hard to mod the axles for a standard hex though if someone really wanted and there's probably a way to add in something like a version of the OpenRC F1 mod diffs as well: www.thingiverse.com/thing:2361718

I was very impressed with the design. The tpu you used could be substituted for a different rubbery tpu. The gears could easily be modified in a version 2. I'm just curious how durable it is considering how many segments the body is made of. 🤔 one of my bigger concerns since I use to do alot of racing is how easy it is to make adjustments and swap parts. Most of the problem parts are normally made accessible for easy swapping in production rc's. This looks like it would need alot of disassembly to fix or swap parts 🤔 beautiful curves though

Yeah I've had to take it completely apart a few times to play around with gears and its a bit of a pain. Once you've done it once or twice though it gets a lot easier. Its definitely not as easy as a couple of body clips but its not too bad. For durability its hard to say but I'm definitely not keen to smash it into anything hard.

Are you still interested in the Trophy Truck? I´m working on the V4 with 4x4.

Hey man its looking really good in that new snow video. I'm definitely interested but there's just a tonne of new models coming out right now and I'm having a hard time keeping up already. You should definitely do a body for it.
@blubb7711 Жыл бұрын
@@rcprinter thanks, i already started on the body, but it’s the hardest part of it haha.
@rcprinter Жыл бұрын
@@blubb7711 maybe just do a simple 1-2 wall body in 2 pieces that bolts together in the middle like the mkultra and robak have.
