You can mold the parts and then modify an extruder to, in theory, make an injection mold filler. While it is experimental, it has been found to work

Which filament would you recommend for the tires. Is TPU the best option, or PLA/PETG/ABS?

Can't wait to start building my Reaper - almost have all the parts printed. Will get your full kit sometime early next month (after payday). What shocks did you use and do you sell those as well?

Hey thanks for the message. I used TooMod 50mm shocks that I ordered from Amazon last January. www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0CN5NBKV7. The printed parts sheet that comes with your build kit also gives you recommendations and website links for shocks. Enjoy the build.

Hey Nelson, according to the print manual for the Supersprint FDM 3D printer of minimum build size 180x130x180mm (XYZ). The widest Supersprint part is 179x128mm wide, the tallest part is 175mm tall. Hope this is helpful.

There’s another jet design out there that has double props to help avoid cavitation (the air getting in the prop) I think you should try that one… it seems more effective… I think it’s the M-Jet Super sprint… don’t quote me yet…

Good afternoon! I would like to know: 1) Yes it can be done like the original with the inclined red line. 2) If there are options for better finishes so that it is left without the typical 3D marks 3) Approximate price and know where you can buy it. Thanks and greetings!
@rcprinter28 күн бұрын
Hey, 1 - yes its possible but you'd have to design it yourself in your slicer with a multimaterial printer since this design is how it comes stock 2 - You could definitely fill the layer lines with spray primer and then sand and then paint to get a nicer finish 3 - You have to 3d print it yourself but you can find the design files at www.3dsets.com

Yeah, that should be possible but you would have to almost completely disassemble to the electronics in later.

Go for a steel bed that you can use magnets on, to fix markers. The markers do not have to be on the object for your example. as for the black OE pad, you put markers on it. Mad how they stick. 😊😊 Put small ones one and do a miniature scan.

I'm putting this together now. There are a few errors on the printed plans and this video is clearing a few of them up. I have printed the structural body componants with ASA-Carbon Fiber and the 'painted' parts with PETG. I have printed the non-functional parts (engine mostly) with PLA. I am now printing the suspension componants. I plant to use ASA-Carbon Fiber for the arms and things. Will that be too abrasive? I don't really trust PETG to hold up under stress and heat, although it will be better than PLA. I could use nylon. If I do the bushings in PETG will that be good. The ASA-CF is pretty abrasive. I'm a bit surprised that all the plates say "PLA" and there isn't much talk about which material to use. I would have expected that to be a critical aspect of the builds.
@rcprinterАй бұрын
Hey man I'd stick with the filaments that are recommended in the build guide and on the build plates. I'm pretty sure I printed everything in PLA on this one including the bushings. PETG has more flex than PLA but I find it also shatters easily so I don't like using it personally. ASA-CF is not something I have experience with but it might be pretty good. I'd recommend looking into some other folks' experiences with the filaments you're interested in and perhaps asking questions over in the 3DSets facebook group here: facebook.com/groups/332578827350785/

The concept of the motor is wrong. The force to sink the back due to the impeller position and angle is higher then the output so not even with 30 engines will ever move fast

There must be something wrong with ESC/motor, It can't be that slow....

Would like to build one. Can’t seem to find anywhere the print settings
@rcprinterАй бұрын
Yeah it can be a bit hard to know what to use and the instructions for this build aren't great. Generally when printing these cars I use a standard 0.2mm layer height and standard infill % or maybe a little higher for body and cosmetic parts and then I increase the number of walls for any parts that I think should be more resilient such as drive train and steering components. For some of those I might even increase walls until those parts are completely filled with plastic.
