I'm curious as to why Caramel doesn't put their model # on the label in the soundhole. That has always bothered me... I look at an old Caramel and wonder what I have...

I guess that's Caramel's little revolt against conformity. It's always bothered me too and some of my instruments have the model handwritten by me somewhere on them. All the other uke makers I know of follow the standard procedure in this regard. In the sound hole you can see brand and model!

because caramel are cheap/junk mass produced no quality control ukuleles

@@lr4672 - I like Caramel ukuleles. The ones I have are just fine. They have improved since my first purchase from their website in 2016. Stick with your $expensive$ name-brand ukes to make sure you get one you like.
