Here is the recipe on how to make a stunning apple tart with a rich and buttery crust, caramelized apple and toasted walnuts.

For 6 tarts
Tart ring 8 cm dimeter and 2 cm height
For the tart crust:
100 g butter at room temperature and cut into small cubes
100 g sugar
200 g all purpose flour
1 egg
Pinch of salt
For the filling:
5 apples
150 g sugar
100 g butter
Juice of a 1/2 lemon
1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the topping
Chopped walnuts
Whole walnuts
Combine flour, butter sugar, the egg and the salt all together with your hands. Knead the dough briefly and gently on a floured surface.
Wrap in cling film and chill while preparing the filling (at least 30 minuets)
Melt the sugar until dark brown, add the butter and then the apples. Add the lemon juice and the cinnamon and let them cook for at least 20 minute (or until the apples are tender).
Arrange the apple filling into the crust, sprinkle with chopped walnuts and bake at 180 °C for 30 minutes or until crust is golden.
