Remote Controlled BS 6 vehicles are very less polluting plus electricity is not available in all areas and electric vehicles are more expensive and charging takes time and 50% electricity is made from coal which EVs will increase the demad for which will increase pollution. In flood affected areas you cannot charge the vehicles but can fill petrol. And there will be a huge number of unemployment due to ICE engine parts There are very large number of MSMEs producing automotive components which will have to close down and the government is running on petrol and diesel taxes. Ev will take long time to charge even at charging station suppose it takes1 hour.India being a very populated country people cannot wait for such long time in summers when its 45 degrees. And people living in flats ,small houses cannot charge their vehicles. It will take a long time for EVs to come or its impossible and government too has accepted this and said that further both EVs and ICE engine cars will be registered, the companies should look for ethanol engines cng lpg engines and hybrid cars. And EV components come from china and lithium will also be have to be imported from there as we import crude oil. And unemployment will be on a large number so ICE engines should continue. Plus scrapping EVs is a very polluting process than engines. And electric vehicles looses 4-5% range every year and not suitable for snow areas. And in india , according to sources in hot areas battery may heat up and can switch off for some time.

Your concerns for MSME in MV industry is correct. But they all can switchover business to EV vehicle. More inventions in electrical power strorage, less cost , more power density , less recharging time may be expected in near future. Appreciate make in india by bosh. This is just the start. My view on this, it is clearly evident that due to weight of batteries in the boot, the car seems to be pinched down at the rear. I have experience on cng converted car on similar thing and trust me, this creates ride issue when two people accompany at the rear seats. You have to take care for small patches or bumps of the road everytime while driving since the car keeps on jumping from back. Even the life of suspension also decreases and to be replaced early. Whereas tesla has done a fantastic job by integrating their custom manufactured battery in the floor itself thus enabling centre of gravity precisely. I understand that the aim here is to convert existing gasoline car into electric with minimal changes wherein bosch has succeeded in such a short timespan is very commendable job. Thumbs up 👍

Indian govt do not want to introduce electric vehicles at all, coz electric vehicles are almost maintenance free & the whole industry of after sales service is one of the most lucrative business ( for example if you have a sub compact sedan like DZire , Amaze & so on maintenance costs are around 50 paise per km ( approx ) , so you can calculate the costs , and hence the auto industry & the govt burning hole in our pockets will banish . So , suppose if you buy an electric car ROI ( or the break even time ) will be less as compared to the conventional cars !! Hats off to the our Govt & auto industry!!

Those huge numbers are because of the tax incentives. - No purchase/import tax(in India import taxes are 100% of the car value) - Low annual road tax. - Free parking. - free toll charges. As a country with lots of highly polluted cities, our country should also implement some similar policies to encourage more people to buy EVs.

Great thing to see it happening but Government wont speed up its regulatory part. The reasons are 01.Central Govt , state govt get maximum revenue out of crude import 02. There is a huge hidden income in allotment of Petrol Pumps 03. The speed and efficiency is the huge area of concern for all state and central regulatory bodies. Our Indian talent is working hard to make this reforming change as reality as the projects like bio fuel , Bio CNG which is very much in available but not to the public at large. Recently it has been seen that bio fuel trial was done to replace ATF and not petrol and diesel. If we can add 5 to 10 % Ethanol in petrol then why cant we run all vehicles on Ethanol??The cost of Ethenol is just Rs 30/- per ltr and Govt procurement price is Rs 41.00 per ltr. Yes we can but if it happen in reality then public at large will get benefit but both Central and State government will loose huge revenue along with extra income .

Making a prototype out of an existing petrol car with a range of about 50km from a 10KWh battery is no big deal. Just check out Jehugarcia's channel along with EV West and so many others in the US and other places. This is BS from Bosch's side trying show off something that's already there. You can already get lithium ion battery modules for cars with high power induction motors from Mumbai. Not to mention going green is just a lie unless the electricity is from renewable sources like solar.
@UK14156 жыл бұрын
Someone talking sense finally! though I would disagree on the going green part! Electric vehicles are a notch better if you compare the whole carbon footprint even if the electricity is from coal-powered plants! if the charging of batteries does take place through renewable sources, solar/wind/hydro - its even better

@@the_good_lad it's way too difficult to bring some change to the conventional system. Many People don't even understand EV tech and our market is not yet matured to take it to a level where people will start considering EVs. Plus the cost factor is yet to be cooled off a bit. Even if our needs and requirements are fulfilled, we will never be satisfied. That's our primary nature. So getting EVs into the ecosystem is difficult. Every brand campaigns it in a different way, all they would want is to make profits after all
