10:05 --- Hybrid does NOT have a "6-speed CVT"! A CVT is intrinsically infinite-speed transmission and the E-CVT that is in the Auris Hybrid (and any Toyota Hybrid for that matter) behaves exactly like an infinite speed box - e.g. there are NO shifts or changes observable, not even simulated ones. When you floor it it goes from 0 - 185 km/h without any jerks or jolts of gear shifting and the internal combustion engine stays at max. RPM from the get go. Many people do not like this, I find it very nice in fact.

I've been driving a Toyota Auris hybrid Touring Sport 2017 since last summer and I think it's a pleasant car in the city and also on longer trips. My summer wheels are the only complaint. They are on 17 inch alloys and have a bit of a stiff ride. Winter tyres are on 16 inch and are more comfortable.

I had one until March 2024 pxd it for a Corrola hybrid, nothing wrong with the Auris good fuel economy, reliable quite comfortable to drive, i think the Corrola is a better car certainly handles better and sharper lines than the Auris, in the Auris favour is slightly more luggage space in the hatchback model

Is it true that Toyota used the bmw n47 engine in this car I called Toyota office today and they said that they didn’t use the bmw engine in this car only the supra

It's the 1WW diesel. It's not a BMW engine, like in the Supra, tho. It's a design derived from the N47 with a lot of changes to it. But since I make fun of the Supra for being "Z4 in drag", I might as well call the 1WW an N47 in drag.

Just test drove one. It's noisy, slow and unresponsive. And that's compared to the 2010 Mazda 3 it was meant to replace. I'm familiar with the drivetrain from a Prius I drove in the past but in the Prius it was much more refined.
