Letting one of his hand entirely blow up in an explosion just so that he could throw a kick at Genthru when he has an alternative plan that would cost him nothing is a great idea, I can see no downside to it! "How did they know it was them", the only people left in the game who had enough cards to win are Gon & Killua as well as Genthru and possibly Goreinu. So those are the first three groups anyone would check (since Tsezugera's team left the game), and they're also all in the same spot so even if they didn't check, they'd come here anyway. Plus everyone had to be spying on Genthru at all time since after the player hunt and Tsezugera's disappearance, they knew he was about to win so when he started to lose cards while Gon and Killua were gaining them, everyone in Masadora probably knew instantly what was about to happen.

In term of strength and wit, Genthru was so much stronger than Gon. They really came up with strategies, actually by Killua, unless it would be one side massacre. I do believe Bisky is stronger than Genthru, but not Gon and Killua themselves. (Togashi ranked Genthru quite strong himself.)
