Caravan touring and cooking in Alivio Tourist Park ACT Canberra is the destination this week as we check out some of the sites and the local cuisine along the way. The weather was a little windy so we were forced to spend more time inside than outside.
Alivio tourist park in Canberra has lots of great facilities like a bar, eat-in bistro and pizzeria, laundry facilities, bbq areas, seating areas, and of course a decent pool. The price on this occasion was $63 for 2 x adults and this includes the internet booking discount of 10%.

Great mix of views mates! From the wildlife, to life in the caravan while moving and being in the car park at the local golf course…lovely production. I enjoyed the mix of audio tracks accompanying the video content. Candace prefers a thick sausage, but as I always say, “life is full of disappointment”. Hey! ;) There’s a large differentiation between hotdogs and sausages here. I prefer the beef hotdog with mustard and finely diced onion…it works a treat for co-sleeping. Candace prefers hotdogs (with a snap…GROSS!), and mustard. Go figure. You should’ve brought some fresh milk from Daisy down the farm instead of going store-bought. Lake George is certainly doing it’s own thing. Pretty cool. Enough about me…Darth Vader did a great job as cameraman. There’s only one way to get to Carnegie Hall. I loved the share. 😆😆😆 Thanks so much Den. This was actually the biggest van internally we could find for height. I think I’ll just tell him to walk on his knees in the future so it suits perfectly. I had a good laugh at the people walking past too I have to say. I’m in Melbourne right now in the van as I’m taking Jesse to the AO mens finals tonight. I think it will be a great match and it’s been great to learn a few of the ropes in the van. I need a baby Weber too for the roasts but for external cooking whilst on a powered site this $49 induction cooker is unreal. I brought it off catch if you want to check them out 🍻😊. @@RyanIngleton Yes I know that it can get very cold during winter there. I've never visited during winter, as I don't like the cold anymore after growing up in Norway and lived most of my life there. I prefer QLD, but unfortunately I'm back in Scandinavia now. Am trying to move back down to Australia and QLD, but it is almost impossible to find a place to rent. We will eventually buy a place, but want to have a good look first. I can hardly believe how bad the situation is now when it comes to accommodation since I left in 2018.

Sounds like all good advice, golf course (played yesterday in the most hottest humid day ever, crazy) and retail is online at the moment, too many cases at our large shopping centre areas, which are 70 kms away. Hello, dearest Ryan! Oh, my friend, you are always so funny! I enjoyed watching you and Jesse cook! First of all I must tell you that your caravan is .... GORGEOUS !! I really like it a lot! Very nice design and it looks very comfortable and functional indeed. Well, I must say that I am always amazed at how it is possible to cook a risotto in the microwave !! hahahha I always stay half an hour to shoot it for about 20 minutes as per tradition! But we also have these bags to put in the microwave. Certainly very practical! The result looked really good. Sausages with honey .... I've never tasted them. They must be good and I'm on Jesse's side .... BBQ sauce !! I laughed at Jesse practically touching the roof of the caravan with his head! What good times between father and son, aren't they? I am very lucky to be sharing my time, with my sons, whilst they are young and I am still able. I have spent years enjoying their youth as I am fully aware they will spend less and less time with me as they grow older. The van is really nice and it’s very comfortable. Funnily enough I am in it now as I’m in Melbourne. Tomorrow night I am taking Jesse to the AO mens tennis finals. I’m picking it will be a great match. Jesse is so tall now it’s hard to believe he’s not long turned 16. My husband will watch it on TV but he would be happy to be there with you and Jesse tomorrow! I must say that this winter in Milan is quite forgiving. It was cold but every other day and it snowed (very little) only one day, for the rest, most of the weather was sunny, especially January. But there is still February, we'll see ... The contagion curve is (very slowly) decreasing, but thank God this variant seems to be very contagious, but less strong than the previous ones. Also thanks to vaccines. G'day Ryan, entertaining mate. I prefer the fat sausage nowadays, particularly with the variety of exquisite flavours available. No sauce required on those, but happy to have gravy if the occasion arises. If I have a thin plain snag I will add some garlic, mixed herbs and pepper. With a splash of tommy sauce. Thanks so much Bernie. I was actually at the AO finals last night mate and didn’t get back to the van till 3:30am. I packed up and left Vic at 9am and just arrived at Gundagai. Been a long day driving actually mate. This is a brilliant park on the river and only $35 per night 👌 I too enjoy a good ( right kinda ) pie. I’ll have to try your seasoning mix mate in the future as I sure do love all the ingredients you mentioned 👍 Have a great night mate and I hope you have a very prosperous season this year 🍻😎

@@RyanIngleton That was a pretty epic game. I'm not a big fan to be honest, but I caught the last five games on Saturday night. Then watched a few during last nights match. Like most sport when you're at the event, with all the hype and atmosphere it is pretty special. $35 is very reasonable compared to many of the spots I've visited the last few years 👌 It is a good combo on the snags, you will enjoy it. Throw the garlic on about half way through the cook so it doesn't burn. I reckon this year will be a pearler, regardless of what happens. Take it easy mate 🍺

I’m on way way to the Gold Coast now with the van for my sons tennis so tonight’s Woolgoolga and tomorrows Broadwater Tourist Park. 😆😆😆 You make me laugh Nic. I can say it’s hard to comprehend how tall Jesse is unless your right next to him like I am all the time. I’m like his little buddy and I’m 181.5cm tall. ( I always say the .5 😆) I’ve had all the boys in braces, all the boys have had plates ( some top and bottom and some fixed ). 30 odd teeth pulled to make way for adult teeth, retainers…. You name it. 37.5k now since yesterday with Hunter 🙄 Amanda wants them all to have all straight teeth in the future which I do agree with. The drone footage i purchased as I do not think it’s allowed in that location. You can make any drone footage look that clear Nic if you film in 2.7k or above and post in 1080p. ND filters will also help achieve that with a lower ISO. ( I sometimes give the GoPro a set of shades but do not own any for the mini ) I’m in Melbourne right now and just flew the drone over my caravan park funnily enough 😆😆. I’ve taken the van down here to watch the AO finals tonight. About to head in and get ready. Have a great night and enjoy your week 🥂👍

😆😆 The Ram certainly had a decent set of junk John I have to say mate. Jesse came with me and did some training. I’m using the van to stay away from contracting the virus instead of renting rooms. I’m down in Melbourne in it now and taking Jesse to the AO mens tennis finals. Just woke up funnily enough so we are preparing for a late night. 👍
