Caravan Adventure Cooking at Shoalhaven Heads, Eastern Coast of NSW.

Caravan Adventure Cooking in the Golf 650HT Tourer at Shoalhaven Heads NSW. Using our Induction Cooker we were able to create a fast little dish that was delivered right from the Shoalhaven River. It was in the form of 2 x Bream that the kids caught and made for a great healthy dinner everyone loved. Teaching my sons how to fish and how to cook I'm hoping will create lots of memories and life skills they can use in the future long after I've gone.

We are extremely lucky to be able to go on trips now and not worry about using anything with anyone else. Life has changed for us all these last two years and it has changed the way I think and interact. I hope the colder weather isn’t causing you all the problems again this year as it did last year. NSW is having 100k cases per day so it’s only a matter of time before we all get it I suppose. The fish was so fresh and tasted better than I could even explain on the video. I certainly felt like a king enjoying this food with my two youngest boys. I am really grateful to this trip to YT for allowing me to meet extraordinary people like you and for having created true and sincere friendships like ours! Oh, you're right ... Unfortunately for two years our lives have been completely turned upside down and we have to look at the world and interact with it in a different way. And not better, unfortunately. Here things are not easy. As was to be expected, this Omicron variant is spreading. It is very, very contagious, but thank God it seems to be less dangerous. Especially thanks to vaccines. In Italy we are really at a good point and the results can be seen. With the infections that exist now (very numerous ....) we would have had a dramatic situation if we had not had the help of the vaccine. Either way, we really hope this is the last year to go this way. We have some restrictions (not many) but it is above all fear that reigns supreme, always. We hope and pray that it is the latest wave and that the virus is weakening more and more. Anyway, guys, I foresee beautiful trips with the caravan and lots of fun and .... lots of tasty lunches !! Amanda mentioned that I had used that song before up there as well. I couldn’t remember but I thought it really suited the occasion. Yes I was telling the boys about how much fun we used to have as kids around these waters and about our Tinny adventures. I was thinking of doing a full review on the van at some stage but just wanted to capture the cooking in this one. Tour of the van please.. awesome fishing trip guys, great to see the bonding time. I've got another 2 boys that would love to join in. In coles there's a brand of spice named Mingle the have camp mix but called all purpose, give that a crack. Nice photo shop of the same head shot for the thumb nails. 🤣

I’ll have to try that spice out as well Nic. I usually use the red all purpose seasoning at home that had been around since my childhood days. I haven’t used it in years until the other day on the roast potatoes and now the boys are all hooked. I’ll def do a tour of the van and your correct, your boys would enjoy the fishing and limited rule trips we go on. I really do enjoy the bonding time as I know they grow up way too fast. I made the thumb nail minus my head, and Jesse said it’s too plain. I then photo shopped the photo from the last video and threw the fish in my hand. 🤷‍♂️😆

The caravan is great Greg and really makes a difference when I have to go away. The induction cooker is so good and it was only $50….what a bargain. Just used it 20 mins ago in Canberra funnily enough 😋 The boys are really keen to keep fishing whenever time permits so I’ll keep taking them mate 👍🍻

Thanks Nate, we had a great time going away for a few days and enjoying the warm coastal weather. We were also very lucky to catch such quality fish for dinner. We are not big fish eaters, however I feel this will now change. I left in one of the out takes at the end as per your previous advice to see if it helps gain some laughs. The butter was fantastic and I’m pleased, I actually remembered to put it in with the camp mix to add to those flavours. The twins are now planning there next vacation, along the coast for more mountain bike adventures and fishing experiences. Thanks for everything mate 👍🍻

I took your advice mate and grabbed a little cooker for Christmas. I see a couple of caravanning shows that swear by them in the wind and I have to say I now know why. The fish did taste amazing and I’m sure the flavours of the camp mix along with the infused butter is something I’ll be having many times over in the future. I’m not sure if they sell the camp mix combination where you live Mike, but it’s a winner for me. Over here we use all purpose seasoning, I hadn’t used it in years and Amanda reminded me of it the other day. No Crocodiles this far down Dave its all good on that front. Different story on the west coast as the water temp and conditions are remarkably different. It was a great little trip taking them away and they are already planning their next adventure. We all had a very quiet New Years and have been laying low to reduce the risk of the pandemic. It’s a balmy 14 degrees Fahrenheit and the temperatures will drop below zero over night. Not real fun. People around here are over the whole pandemic thing. The news now is saying everyone is most likely going to get the omicron variant. Debbie and I have all three shots but we have friends that have still gotten covid. So your guess is as good as mine. We’re going about our daily lives just being a little bit more careful. Enjoy your weekend.

@@DavidBleasby That’s very true Dave. That’s what Australia has right now and we have gone from 1k cases per day which put us into lock down to over 110k cases per day with no restrictions 🤷‍♂️. Everyone has been told to prepare to get it and stock up on neurofen and Panadol. Even infected people are being allowed to work if they are essential workers and A Symptomatic. I think it’s the least one to worry about but still it’s a worry. All our friends have almost all had it already so I guess we are lucky. That’s a cold temp Dave so keep the wine flowing to keep warm mate. That’s my best Doctorly advice I can offer 😆🍷
