Caravan Cooking River Camping Part 3. Touring Caravan

Caravan camping and cooking at the edge of a river is a great way to enjoy this camping lifestyle. The 79 series Landcruiser pulls the caravan with no issues at all and is the most comfortable tourer I have ever owned. The golf tourer caravan is so far performing very well and it will be a great test as we travel to Queensland and beyond over the coming months. Explore the rich cultural heritage of Gundagai, a picturesque country town in the beautiful Riverina. You’ll find the famous Dog on the Tuckerbox Pioneer Monument, as well as a rich architectural, colonial and indigenous history, great fishing, a thrilling rodeo and boutique wineries. The town's main industries, unchanged since the nineteenth century, are sheep and cattle with a healthy dose of passing trade from people moving between Sydney and Melbourne.

Thanks Jesse. The steaks did taste great but we were also starving. Jesse is super tall and everywhere he stands makes things short. Love the drone shots in the begging !!!! Those steaks just made me hungry and it's 10 am !!! Now I'm not too sure those greens were healthy with all that butter plus I noticed a few beers were consumed making your dinner 🤣Jesse looks like he is still getting taller. The color of the water at the end was such an incredible shade of blue !!! Oh yeah and Dave doesn't do roller coasters !!!

😆😆 Thanks Dave. The butter certainly did take the healthy part out of eating the broccolini but it made it so tasty. The beers were zero alcohol so I’m not even sure why I drank them. I was trying to be good for a few months but still enjoyed the taste. Jesse is a little taller but I do think he stood up on his toes to squash his head in the roof in the van. The water at Airlie beach is one of the most spectacular colours you will see. I’m the beach has the whitest sand on earth I’d think. Well it’s silica not sand I believe Incredible and so bright. I enjoy the roller coasters myself but it was really nice watching on this occasion 😆

😆😆 It was the only place that actually had spare sites for the van Patrick. I can’t say we will stay there again the the future as there are better sites around the Mornington peninsula for recreational activities. This was a quick trip down and back. The induction cooker is absolutely brilliant even in high winds so it’s a yes for me that’s for sure. The beach at the end is Whitehaven. It truly was a remarkable spot and we had a fantastic time. It’s pouring up here today so it looks like a lazy one mate. 😊. Thanks Patrick for all your support.

I think because we were travelling between two major cities they were popular for stopping over night. We have been lucky to get spots by ourself but travelling anywhere near the coast is pretty busy. That’s why we went inland to this little stop mate. Great to see the drone made it along for the trip. Is it safe to drink the water directly from the river? I like the teaser clips in the beginning. Wow…you had the air con set to 19-degrees! Only a true chef uses a filet knife of that size. The cameraman had a bit of an unfair advantage with his reach at that wishing well I reckon. Good to see a life-size replica of a koala…you can’t really tell their size from those pesky National Geographic videos without anything as a point of reference. Great adventure, and the outro clips are nice teasers. Another great edit, Chef! Cheers!

😆😆 I wouldn’t be drinking those waters this time mate. With a life straw maybe 🤷‍♂️. It was after the floods and it was flying past us. I have to say I do love the drone for giving a bigger picture of where we are. It’s better for everyone watching. Aye aye aye. That’s true Nate, Koalas are massive creatures and the trees they reside in are enormous. Even Jack would not be able to chop those down. I’m trying to find a bigger knife that Jesse can use.
