This is how I connect the caravan grey waste drainage. No containers to constantly empty.

Hi there, Thank you for watching and your compliment 👍. Yes there are 2 short stubs. The ends are chamfered as it’s a tight fit into the caravan waste outlets. The flexible extension 28.5mm corrugated grey waste pipe fits perfectly into the 32mm white waste couplings. Hope this helps. By the way I have a more recent video where I extend the pipe around the rear of the caravan. I show the full pipe work in use in our Chatsworth club site video. Cheers Rob 😀

I have a more recent video where I extend the grey waste along the back of the caravan for when the grey waste point is on the opposite side. It’s titled ‘Caravan Grey Waste Extension’. I know this is an old vlog but I follow you and watched this one today and Love your attention to detail. I have today done my waste pipes in rigid pipe and done a 10mtr hook up for when the 25mtr is too long, be interested to see how you done the wiring for the external tv point. I currently come through the window and go directly into the tv, but have an external tv point which is connected to the roof aerial.

Thanks for the compliment Nick. Being a regular viewer you will know the 10m hook up cable gets a heck of a lot more use than the 25m, so a thumbs up 👍 there. We’ve just returned from Southport where I use my rigid pipe extension along the rear of the caravan, so look out for this one ☝️. As for the tv point I had my caravan dealer fit this just after purchase because of the warranty, but in hindsight I could have fitted it myself 🪚 . On our caravan, it’s simply a tv socket in the battery box and another tv socket inside linked with a length of coaxial cable. On our next trip out I will give your question a mention regarding the tv socket and point it out. I’m guessing your external tv point is for using a tv in an awning. ​@@Nick-me7ql An idea Nick - Fit an extra tv socket where the tv sits and run new cable to the amplifier where the aerial is. Fit a connector to the end of the new cable. Disconnect the awning tv cable from the amplifier and connect to your new cable that comes from your new tv point. You can now connect from a bollard to your awning tv point which sends the signal direct to your new tv point adjacent to the tv. This way you’re not disturbing any original wiring. Hi Gary, I bought a 1 m length of 3mm dia stainless steel rod from eBay and made my own hooks. 2mm rod will be easier to bend. I released a video 6 months ago titled caravan grey waste extension. I cut and bend extra hooks to suit the extended pipe fall. I show the extension in use 6 mins into our Chatsworth video released 3 months ago. Hope these videos help. Cheers, Rob

Brilliant mod thank you for sharing. Did you make the stainless steel hooks yourself? How did you do that and what gauge of stainless steel is it, is it easy to bend? Sorry for all the questions 😂

Hi Barbs, Yes I made the hooks myself. I used 3mm stainless steel rod. I show this in my video titled ‘Caravan Grey Waste Extension’. Knowing what I know now, I would have used 2mm stainless rod as it would have been good enough and easier to bend. Don’t mind the questions at all Barbs 👍. Best wishes, Rob & Gail 😀

Hi Chris, Thank you for the compliment. During our early days of caravanning I carried a long roll of flexible pipe and cut sections off to suit the site we were staying on. This is what I ended up with and they tend to suit every site we now visit. I have 1 x 700mm, 1 x 1m, 1 x 2.7m & 1 x 4m. I also carry a couple of flexible pipe straight connectors. All the best. Rob

Hi Kenneth, I didn't actually purchase the hooks, I bought a 3mm dia stainless steel rod from a steel merchant and I cut and bent them myself. The 3mm rod was awkward to bend. Maybe 2mm dia would be easier to work with. Hope this helps. Thanks very much for watching. Take care. Rob

How did you bend the 3mm stainless steel rod to achieve the perfect fit Rob?

For hooking onto the caravan I bent it round a suitable steel pipe to form the radius. Then bent the other side round the waste pipe. I then allowed a little extra length for the second hook. Hope this helps. Rob

Toilet waste goes into a cassette underneath the toilet. To empty the cassette you have to slide it out from the outside of the caravan or motorhome and take it to the sites chemical toilet emptying point. After 5 years of ‘vanning I’m totally fed up messing about with the waste water. Would you mind answering a question? I’m guessing you have an elbow plugged in to a tee piece to make up the part that goes onto the van outlets. Do those parts push-fit together or do you need a section of pipe in between?
