Just found your channel and doing them in order.. wow it was well put together, bit of brute force needed on that kitchen unit 😬. Just wanted to say how lovely it is to see you and your lovely mrs doing this for your kids and the adventures ahead . Good luck with it , I’ll be watching 👍🏻

That's super sweet, Adele. Thanks for the amazing comment. The kitchen was a bitch to get out, purely because we didn't want to damage anything in the van. It's all about the family (vin diesel voice 🤣). Adventures is where it's at and we want to fill our lives with the maximum joy possible. Appreciate you.

Just renovated our Bailey Pegasus 462 (2010) and I have sewn light weight material on top of the original “brown curtains” - the problem now is the curtain hook/sliders keep popping out of the curtain track as they are too taught!

I hear you. That sounds like a pain. What if you unsew and replace the brown with the new material? I think curtains are worth investing either time or money in because they really do bind a space together and make it feel complete.

@@WhereGoggsyGoes just going to reposition the curtain hooks then if that doesn’t work new curtains it is !

Please help, Can you suggest a way that I can remove a Thetford Duplex Grill oven from a 2016 Bailey Persuit 400-2 caravan. Basically there is nothing wrong with the oven but the sink drain pipe has come off which is behind it, so I need to remove the cooker to get to it. There seems to be 4 screws around the oven door, but how do I disconnect the gas pipe before sliding it out? Any help appreciated. Martin

Hey Martin. Hope you're well. So in my experience the pipes and valves are usually in one place, at the bottom of the cooking units or cupboards. It's a case of working out which pipe goes to the cooker, following it and then disconnecting it. It's normally connected at the back of the cooker. Can be a bit of bitch to get out and might need a bit of brute force, just be careful not to break anything as caravans aren't rugadised. Hope this helps. Trial and error is your friend with this one.

@@WhereGoggsyGoes Excellent thanks for your reply. it might be better if I remove the 3 burner hob above it, but I cant figure out how to remove it without securing the threaded fixing locking tabs beneath the hob that locks onto the work surface. Sounds like chicken and egg. After a break from caravanning of 4 years and previously owning a 23 year old Elddis Jetstream that never went wrong we have bought a 2016 Bailey and are staggered at the poor quality of build, bits of loose plastic all over the place and a strange pressurized water system!! ( Why?)

Sounds frustrating, I sympathise! Is there a way to remove the top work surface that is attached to the cooker? Or do you need to remove the cooker first? They are usually built so that it's very difficult to alter the cooking area, for both safety and to tie you in to keeping it how it is. Priority is to locate where to detach the cooker from the unit and take it from there I guess?
