Warning. Noted the mechanic sprayed WD40 into your caravan door lock?! Had my van door lock replaced when on a trip a while back as suddenly wouldn’t lock on leaving it when on site. I was told to NEVER spray WD40 into van lock as many locks now use plastic instead of metal for their working mechanism and that the WD40 will seriously harm these lock plastic components causing them to fail.

Hi Mr Davis, thanks for the comment. You're quire right, many of the manufacturers use plastic components but we are aware. This is a slightly older video and we use the industry recommended lubricants. We do not lubricate the plastic components in the door lock, only the key barrel.
