Hi Dan. We also have a Lunar van and sometimes have trouble plugging in to the socket. We have found a really easy fix which doesn't involve replacement. Simply take a plug and spray a small amount of Thetford seal lubricant (or similar) on the pins. Plug it in and out a couple of times. The socket will now be fixed and work with all plugs. I think they just dry out a bit which makes then awkward to use. It's certainly worth a try before going to the bother of replacement. Steve.

hi dan i dont have a mains socket on the out side of my new van .. was just wondering if you know the best way to fit one ... will prob say hi at the nec wed

Quick question again....how easy is it to put a socket into the wet-locker? There is nothing there at the min. Thinking we could do with one to power the lights that i'm going to make as per your awing-lights vid. Built my first awning last weekend :-) (thrown in at the deep-end again) really pround of myself :-)

If its a virgin installation, i would highly recommend having a chat with a mobile caravan engineer, who will be best placed to advise. He would have experience of such requests and know how to route cabling and ensure it is safe and conforms to BS standards when out and about. hope that helps Dan
