Hi, You will still need to seal them to prevent water ingress, water will flow using capillary action through the tiniest gap including the threads.

They are used on caravan lights to hold them in place, but for your job they are fine but I would still have put some sealant on.

I have a 2020 Imala 730 and I would like to have a couple of lockers installed on the sides. Can you please give me your suggestions. I’m in Australia so sadly that makes it a little more difficult. Thank you.

Tony Bendell there are cheaper versions, but given the use to which they are put, I preferred to pay a little extra for quality. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202776653954
