Thanks V40TC. What Hymer do you have and what's wrong with it?

We have a 2007 bsl544 we picked up from dealer 021216 sadly the cabin AC-DC was faulty along with some other items missed on PDI So dealer has it back, items required are 2-3 weeks delivery from hymer. It is our first MH. we are watching all your videos. Mrsv40tc is now wanting our MH back so we can get going. We just watched the full month in Brittany and now wish to get there next year. Thanks for such great videos. Could you do one on the camera and tripod you use as the films are 1st rate. Tony & Val

That's a real shame. I'm sure you'll be on the road soon. Do you have any plans on your first trip. Have you been in a MH before?
@user-cs6us5px1s8 жыл бұрын
no plans yet gathering ideas. and no never been in a MH before we purchased this one on route to the garden centre, in fact we had only talked of looking at them a few days before for the first time.

Wow, talk about impulse buying! How exciting. For your first trip I'd suggest to go somewhere nearby (1-1.5 hours drive away) for the weekend (2-3 nights) just so that you can get used to how it works and and to find your way round it. Don't forget to take gas. Propane is better because Butane (normally blue bottles but I'm assuming you live in the UK) doesn't work very well when it's cold. Don't forget your chemical toilet liquid too!

Without any doubt your videos are brilliant. It's so true that there never seems to be a socket in the right place. I'd love to attempt installing one in my Burstner but I'd end up blowing myself up.
@HermanHitstheRoad6 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Before you attempt anything just try and figure out how the van works. Follow a socket's wiring and ask yourself could you mimic the installation. But if you know nothing about electrics then don't attempt anything until you speak to someone we does

I recently done a rewire in my boat replaced the mcb with a 16amp mcb. And i rewired the hole unit. Apparently you cant use grey house rigid wireing in a boat
@HermanHitstheRoad3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the information, @finno123456. I assume you had to rewire because the old cables weren't big enough for the load you wanted to put through them?

I am in the U.S. And just subscribed to your channel. Enjoyed your Video and look for would to more. You have very good tools.

Thanks Stacieod. Welcome to the channel. Wrt the "very good tools" are you referring to the snake camera? I love it. I don't use it often but really does help in those small spaces. Also, it wasn't very expensive. I think £80

Really nice Vid. You going to do a 12V one? I'm sure you need another one - I do!
@HermanHitstheRoad8 жыл бұрын
+allun13 Hi, I wasn't planning on fitting any 12v sockets. If I do it'll have to have many USB sockets I think. It's got me thinking though

Good video, BUT... The 'B' does NOT mean it'll 'blow'. Please, if you don't know something, SAY SO... don't just make it up, especially with electrical wiring! Here is what that 'B' really means: Type B devices are designed to trip at fault currents of 3-5 times rated current (In). For example a 10A device will trip at 30-50A. Type C devices are designed to trip at 5-10 times In (50-100A for a 10A device). Type D devices are designed to trip at 10-20 times In (100-200A for a 10A device). See? - FYI, type B is usually used in domestic situations, type C in industry/commercial etc. Type D is less common/specialist stuff usually.
