Chris - I always watch you videos and enjoying learning from you. You're pretty easy to follow with your explanations. I'm hoping you might do a follow up video on CCPro 3D images with the newer CC version such as 530. I'm all in when it comes to updating and improving but Carbide Create fails to update their videos explaining the new screens. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

@@ChrisPowellFSD You DO make great videos. Too funny, and here I am thinking the exact same thing as Mr Morel here. I'm watching this video and it is now 2 years old. I'm using CC Pro Ver 729, and it is even that much different. I've even watched some videos from Winston Moy and even those are outdated...

@@ChrisPowellFSD Good morning Chris, thanks for the reply. I started the monthly membership to CarveCo maker about 6 months ago. It seems to be intuitive, but I still struggle with some of the aspects of it. Like creating 2.5D, 3D, and setting up the toolpaths. I do my design work on CarveCo, but then take the SVG's and put them into Carbide Create to do the toolpaths and run Carbide Motion. I struggle with the computer a lot. Anyway, I'm continually drawn to your videos. You explain things in a way I can understand them. I have an off topic question... in your little video that plays with your logo before your videos, there is a flash of you running what looks like a wood stacked human head through a router or table saw. What is that technique called? ...the wood stacking? I've been googling it and can't seem to find d the right search words. Is there an easy way to take an item (say a skull or a human head) measure it and slice it so you can cut those slices out and glue them up?

@@nathanduval7202 so that was a layered plywood head that was all cut out on the cnc. Then I wrapped each layer with strips of veneer and made a lamp. The plywood was just a form. There’s a video on here about it from a while back. As far as learning Maker goes, I struggled with that stuff too and did the same as you. The only way to get past it is to force yourself to use Maker for everything. It’s not that it’s harder, it’s just different. Once you get that new order of operations down, it will be second nature. It’s probably about time I do another video on it.

Hello Chris. Great videos. I am trying to follow step by step what you are teaching in this video but my Carbide Create does not show the import component just the export. is there any way to import those .PNG files?? Your input will be appreciated. I have Pro version 530.

Thank you, I have been looking. Now if I could learn blender enough to create 3d models and grayscale reliefs from .jpg pictures, Vcarve will be more like Asp.... (shhh they're listening)

You would need a greyscale image to do what I did in this video. You can use an svg, but you will need to shape the design yourself.
