In this video, I show how to make a gouge with carbide blades. A tool for turning wood.
The work I'm going to do with steel F114, forging it with my own forge and with the new anvil. With a standardized 700º steel to eliminate tension leaving it to cool for an hour. Tempering it at 1020º 10 minutes, cooling it in oil. Stabilize during 100 minutes at 200º.
I make different recesses to use the three blades that I have.
The handles are made with olive wood with an 18mm copper ring, finishing with linseed oil.
