Keep us up to date cause I haven’t settled on a blade that I love yet. Double hard 7’s or 9’s have been okay but sharpening life seems so so? Still searching for some blades I love. Love. The “real life” test!

The double hard I was using was a 7

Thanks Dennis, I could see some potential when I was editing the video.

Strong possibility that butt end was 2 shoots from 1 seed that grew together. I encountered that on a maple I slabbed down. A surprise inside.

It's never boring sawing a log open 😂

Hmmm, your milling looked very familiar...today I had a maple with multiple "Y's" so I cut it into thirds and cut two "Y's" at once on the mill with a gap in the middle. Glad the carbides worked out. I get flat cuts across and down the length with 4 degree double hard blades, sounds like I wouldn't be able to run the carbides on my mill.

It's amazing the difference between sawing 18"wide vs 28"wide. You can get carbide for your mill but if you like the 4deg blades I would stick with that.

Ya know, Cremona has plans for his mill available on his website.... 😉

Yea, I don't need a 70" wide mill, I have no way to handle logs that big... it's cool though! lol...

Did you buy the blades at wood-mizer

Yes, they were special order and took months to get.

Good day, my friend, take a few minutes of your time and check out another Sawyer by the name of, Southern air, he has built himself a log turner to die, for ,you could really use it. I am a long time subscriber of yours but I comment her very seldom. Stay safe God bless.✌️🇨🇦

So that's a pretty cool log turner but for me I may just make up a cable and hook I can put on the forks of the skidster. The skidster is pretty good at turning big logs.
