The TST Industries Carbon Fiber Undertail is finally available to the masses. We spent close to two years in R&D, design, and testing to bring you this innovative component that no other company dared to make. This part is made to fit specifically with the TST Industries in-tail taillight. Make the rear of your bike look super sexy like a Moto GP machine. All the body lines of the tail, as well as the taillight are carried through into the undertail. The 2007-2012 CBR 600RR looks like there is something missing in the rear without this undertail. Now you can complete your bike! We made our design to fit like an OEM part. We use only the highest quality carbon fiber, resins, and manufacturing processes. The parts are heat and pressure cured, and then topcoated with a UV stabilized clear that will not yellow. The kit comes with the undertail, exhaust lowering kit, hardware, and step-by-step color photo instructions. Using the printed instructions, or this video, just about anyone can install this part so there will be no need for dealer installation.

I bought one with a yoshi system, absolute pain to install if I’m being honest, but I crashed at the track, replaced the entire rear including the subframe, and the only thing that survived was this carbon piece, and for that it’s a 10/10 in my book

Yea, with the center mounted exhausts the installation is a bit more cumbersome than the outboard mount exhausts. We couldn't get around that while making a proper looking and functioning undertail.

It will work with Hyper-flo, we would just need to get some measurements from you for a proper pre-cut on the undertail.

getting that tail fairing back on is a fkn nightmare! lmao. i took mine off yesterday to get at the rear brake reservoir to bleed it and it took me forever to get the tail fairing back on. but once you do it it shouldn't be as bad the next time.

It depends which fender eliminator you go with. We have an option that mounts directly to the Toce canister that doesn't require any modification or an option that mounts onto the servo case once you drill 2 small holes.

It really depends on your setup. If you are using one of our Pod Signal Kits, or at least the Pod Signal Mounting Kit, and have an exhaust that mounts to the subframe in the stock location (example: OEM, Toce, Two Bros, etc., NOT: Yoshimura, Jardine) then you can mount your exhaust and signals through one set of slots. You can shoot our support guys an email through our website if you want more detailed info.

Thanks for the reply, I have the RS5. I took advantage of the "Blemished" Carbon fiber Under tail deal. I will have to Cut slots where my RS5 connects (NON -OEM location). I currently just have your Integrated rear taillight with signals, but I am thinking I may install the Pod signal kit for Canada law ( I ordered that as well ) and will decide when next season comes. It seems to be a tossup with Ontario law and how far apart the signals are. I love the integrated lights..and I guess I will need to make slits for that as well if i go that route. Anything i should consider when cutting the carbon fiber? I understand it may be hard on my drill bits but im okay with that.. Bike is going away for hibernation.. and I am already adding more mods.... CANADA LIFE

Center mount exhausts present that challenge with the undertail. There was no way around it. If you review the video steps specific to your application one more time, it will pay dividends in making it easier. If you follow the Yoshimura steps very closely you will have mounting success. And the good news is that once it's done you don't have to bother with it again.

@@TSTindustries2 things. I just finally got the main long mounting bolt threaded in, and when I tightened it down, the clamp wasn’t clamping tight around the muffler. That’s because the lowering links are on the inside of the tabs which made them act like a spacer. So now I need to take it back apart and put the lowering links on the outside 😵‍💫😵‍💫😣 and what sucks even more, I’m planning to delete the cat in a few weeks so I’ll have to do all this yet again. Yay me.

Does the OEM precut fit Akrapovic cut? Are Yoshimura and Akrapovic cut similar?

OEM and Akra use the same cut. Yosh is different. Yosh and Jardine use same cut but it is in the center of the undertail. When you watch the entire video you will see the difference

No. In 2013 Honda changed the bike substantially and none of the tail components are cross compatible.

We have not installed that combination at our shop but from what I know about Arata, it should fit OK. Arata mounts in the OEM exhaust location so should fit like Akra, TBR, Toce, etc.

Couple of questions. Without the heat shield surely both the rider and pillions arse will get super hot on a summer days. And two, does the light still indicate whilst braking? Or once you brake will that cancel the indicator?

Honda did a great job with the under tail exhaust. You experience next to no heat from either seat even with the heatsheild removed. Not to mention how good a under tail exhaust looks

Is this undertail compatible with a non integrated tail light with the TST pod turn signals?

I have made that installation at some point. I had to mount exhaust to the lowering links that come with the undertail, and then mount the links for the signals off that lowering-link-connection at 90 degrees to the lowering links. @@luke_h11 yea, that one is pretty tough. I suppose we can cut slots in the undertail in the center for the exhaust, and outboard more where the signals would mount. I would have to custom cut that. Typically when there is a custom cut request on the order it takes us about 3 additional days to fulfill the order. We first contact you to verify the request because the custom cut undertails are not refundable. Then we make the cuts on a day when I am available for that. Then the rest is the same as stock orders.

Not really. This is a fairing that closes out the underside of the tail that is otherwise pretty un-finished and ugly looking. Typical "fender eliminator" is a setup that relocates your license plate and/or signals and license plate light, and enables the removal of the OEM fender. I actually welded it back on. We cut many of those things and at the time we scheduled the video we did not have a fresh subtray. So I used a soldering iron type device to thermoplastic weld the parts together. The process was illustrated as if the part was fresh from the factory. Having a re-welded subtray did not hinder the thesis of this video.

So i stopped ordering them and when it came time for this video i decided that since i dont have a freshie in the shop i will just splice it back to how it comes from factory.

Our carbon fiber undertail was designed to be used in conjunction with our integrated tail light (which has brake and turn signal functionality built - reference 9:44). Therefore, the OEM blinkers and mudguard are no longer needed.

I'm not sure I fully understand the question. Our Integrated Tail Light is one product and the main installation process shown in this video showcases our Carbon Fiber Undertail which is another product. At the 9:45 mark, we begin to show the installation process of our Integrated Tail Light. As you can see towards the end of the video, both products work seamlessly with each other.
