There is some learning curve and it's definitely worth it to watch the videos a couple of times. I recommend going slowly to try and be as smooth as possible with light pressure through your first dozen knives. By then your stones will be broken in and you'll be really comfortable with it. Another good idea is to pick up some super cheap knives at a thrift store to practice on while you build confidence and technique before you start in your favorite knives.

I have had mine pre ordered since August, I remember a post on the website saying releasing EVERYWHERE in October… Any info on when i could expect mine to be shipped from BHQ???
