Nice bit of kit 👍🍻

It's a lovely bit of kit but for the price I don't mind waiting a day or so to force carb, ... although it may be on my Xmas list ;) Stay well, cheers.

I do agree about it being far from cheap. I know that some people have or would like to make their own home-made version, so hopefully seeing how it goes together and operates will help those people. In my case I had some unexpected cash left over from something else, and a KZbin payout at the same time, so invested that in my brewing gear. Whilst I don't do the videos for the money, getting the odd £60 now and again helps cover some brewing or video expenses

Build my own one for a small partial price of the original but works really nice. Really love to use it. Thanks for the video!

Great video as always Sarah, thanks. I use mine for transfers and syphoning as well. Any comments for temp for the keg? For a quick turnaround it seems to help chilling it first and also using a long tapline. Thanks again

Hi Jane, great to hear from you. I normally go straight from cold crashing so when I do it the beer is usually between 2 and 3C That does help compared to trying to get a liquid to absorb as gas at higher temperatures. Using it for transfers is great advice. Must of my fermenters have a tap, but I also use it to transfer on the one fermenter I have which doesn't have one.

Hi Sarah, great video. Where did you get it from?

Think I got mine from TheMaltMiller some years back when they had an offer on

Old video I know... So when you kicked this off, the pipes were all full of air? Isn't that just adding air to your corny? Is there an easy way to purge them?

Hi Robin, you can run CO2 through them as your CO2 is already connected to the system. Just turn your gas on as you normally would and the gas will push out any oxygen

Hi Sara Just a quick question I saw you handled the stone in the video, I saw another which said this was a bad thing as it was very sensitive and could wick the oils from skin and block, was this an urban myth?
@DaftCatBrewing4 жыл бұрын
I've never had an issue, however I've not seen any research to point one way or another. With 10 or more PSI blowing through the stone I can't imagine it would cause much of a problem even if it did happen in the first place, although it's not something I had ever heard of.

Have you ever weighed your co2 bottle before and after? I wonder how much co2 it will take to carb a beer.

No that's not something I've tried

Where does the carbonation stone go? Inside the keg?
@DaftCatBrewing4 жыл бұрын
It shows you where it goes in the video. You will see me fit it when I assemble everything at the start

No probs. It does give a great constant flow of beer right over the stone with that layout.
