Have you any thoughts on cruze rt ? I know the weight may put people off but i am considering the v5 , v7 and the cruze , looking for an all round ski and to keep up with sea kayaks

Plastic skis are just too heavy for carrying, but are obviously more robust than composite. I had a Cruze RT but in the end I just used a dry bag under the bungees. I've retrofitted hatches with internal 'pockets' before, and that's a cheaper option, and easy to do....few quid off eBay, or get a boatyard to do it for cash...

You'll be way quicker in a ski, and easier to remount if you capsize.

@neilboastmbe4428 thanks for replies ,I've been in contact with Alan and he does have the cruze x in stock there calling it the cruze x adventure if it has the hatches but it is an extra 200 quid . Reading on forums everyone seems to love the boost in all conditions seems like a popular ski especially when things get rough , Also thanks for letting me know about the v6 it was on my radar but will give it a miss

Is this boat easier than the Zest? Do you think it fits me? I'm 194 cm without shoes.

I would say that the Boost is my 'go to' in conditions where it's super choppy. I paddle my Zest in calm conditions but the Boost is the one I usually revert to in bigger waves. I'm lucky enough to have both...if I had to choose I'd have the Boost.

I would add that you must paddle any ski that you want to purchase. If you are in the UK then I'm happy to let you paddle mine. They all feel different. I tried the Think skis but the bucket was not a good fit for me, likewise with the Epic. Most Surfski Paddlers will let you try their craft. Get in touch if I can help. If you are not in the UK, I'm sure the UK importer would know his counterpart in your country👍👍

Still nowhere to attach leg leash. Had the footplate strap rip off due to having it attached there.

You're incorrect. There is a recess in the bucket area (under your knees) specifically for a loop to be attached and to secure a leg leash.
