This chase video is much easier to view in a dim lit room. It was difficult to make out the night scenes when I watched this movie in a well lit room during the day. But it was fine in the evening. So pull down the shades. 😝😝

Good tip! I rented it from Amazon 3 or 4 years ago and watched it on my laptop. Hadn't seen it in decades. I actually forgot what the name was but I think there was an alternate title.

“Night Terror” starring Valerie Harper. I remember watching this in 12th grade 1977. It was one of those “movie of the week” specials.

In typical lack-of-continuity/70s-movie fashion, the Ford Gran Torino wagon being driven by Valerie Harper switches from the 1974-76 body back to the 72.

It's kind of hard to take 'Rhoda' seriously in this part. This is another one of those movies where they swapped the high and low beam positions like on that Mustang. Always wondered why they did that. Just saw a 'Rockford' episode a couple of nights ago and his Firebird was the same way. I think it had to do with the glare on the film and cameras of the time. Seems common in the '70's films. Check out the gas station. "Where do you get your gas at?" "I like to go to 'A Major Gasoline'".

Speaking of light. It was difficult to make out the night scenes when I watched this movie in a well lit room during the day. But it was fine in the evening. I've never been a fan of night time car chases but oh well.

@@CarChaseWonderland2 Yup, I hear ya. Some of the low budget productions used mostly ambient or the vehicle lighting with really little auxiliary or stage lighting. I was watching a '70's movie last week or so and you could barely make out anything on the screen except the lights on the night scenes. Cut rate cinematographer, I guess.

One of the Mustang's used in the film has the standard outside rear view mirror while the other has dual racing style mirrors.

I remember seeing her on tv in the 80s.. on a TV show called Valerie, then it was called Valerie's family, and then later changed to Hogan's family. ... I think this is the same chick?
