I never thought about it...but you're right. The VA for this game isn't that far off from today's quality. I guess we just expected all voice acting to be terrible back then, so it was harder to appreciate the few that weren't.

Actually that blood belongs to the Raptors biting their tongues because Regina is wearing highly advanced Kevlar sleeves. That's why she never takes damage in the QTE's even though it appears as if it's her own blood being drawn. The sleeves only work during QTE's though, which is one of the downsides of a prototype model.

Wow, this game has aged. I remember getting this when I was 10ish the day it came out. And it was mind blowing. Like, seeing your character during the door cutscenes was next level shit. And this was the first game I played where a shotgun felt like the room clearing beast that it is.

Back in the day when Internet access was still limited and considered to be a luxury instead of necessity, solving the puzzles in this games was reaaaaally difficult, and today that we have Internet Access and all, I can say that Im really proud of myself for spending the time solving and cracking the puzzles using nothing but my handy dandy notebook and pen. That sound when you unlocked the 2-DDK chip doors was really a great satisfaction! Additionally, the voice acting in this game was really something, not the script, but the voice acting. Great run btw.

yeah. it's not really a fun or exciting game for me to speedrun. i play it on stream occasionally but it's too easy and too long. No Damage seems interesting but not much else to do in DC1.

I never knew the game had 4 ending setups, not 3 o_o I always went for the Gail's plan but then went to the Heliport first. Didn't even know you could do the same by agreeing with Rick -_- Fun cutscene with Kirk this way. And it's definitely faster than if going for Gail's plan.

I think the reason why they haven't remade this game or even included monsters from their previous remakes like the spiders in Resident Evil 2 is because they struggle to animate them or perhaps since graphics have improved immensely, they don't want to scare a chunk of the fans with how realistic it looks. Arguably, fans of the games have already dealt with spiders and dinosaurs, but I think those are the possible reasons why.

I prefer Dino Crisis so much more over Resident Evil. I wish they would do a HD remaster of DC since they already did one of RE. Hell, give us a HD remaster of Onimusha while you're at it. Old school Capcom games were the best. They just turned to straight garbage in the late 90's - early 2000's.
