Less than 1% of the people who buy an Accord or Camry will ever push them around the corner. Seeing another car reviewer talk about this nonsense is truly frustrating. The Accord has a CVT and Turbo engine - both would be questionable in terms of longevity. I was hoping to hear something about that. It also would have been nice to hear about the ride quality (how smooth they drive on regular roads rather than how they handle in the corner), engine noise, cabin noise, and how comfortable they would be for long distance driving.

I have the 2020 Camry SE with the convenience package. It's an amazing car. However I do like the Accord and will look at it in the near future.

First thing I'd do on that Accord is put mesh in that lower bumper. One rock at highway speed and you'd be thanking yourself.

I like both of them, but I would probably go for a Lexus ES if I were in the market for four door midsize. Thanks for another great review.
@curiously15105 жыл бұрын
Agreed, but with at least $10K price difference over these mid range models I am guessing the ES is over budget for many.

Same as well. Do not get me wrong, both cars are good. But the Camry offers a quieter ride, a higher ride height, slightly better visibility, and both the four cylinder and V6 are port injected and are less likely to get carbon build up. I also prefer the Camry's V6 due to it being more refined, smoother, and sounding better than the Accord's turbo four cylinder engine.

@@vishalakula8451 Toyota has both port and direct injection, which means the toyota is still going to less likely to have carbon build up versus the Hondas only direct injected engines.

You forgot the fuel capless in Accord, and in my opinion, the tachometer and odermeter in Accord way more functional and sportier. In short, Accord smokes Camry out

Kudos to Toyota using a traditional trans but I’d definitely go with the accord. We have an 06 accord coupe (5 speed) and 16 accord coupe (CVT). Being in the passenger seat of the 2016, it is very planted and corners decent.

I would avoid getting 18 and 19 inch tires on a family car. One small pothole and you'll be shopping for new rim's and tires. Stick with 17 inch. I have seen plenty of cars around my area with low profile tires getting flats.

2018 1.5t Honda Accord Sport, with 6 speed manual owner here. Just like in your previews of past years, you fail to mention that the Accord Sport can have a 6 speed manual transmission. I have one, absolutely love it. I don’t think there is a better value then the 1.5t Accord Sport. If someone is in the market for these, I would suggest you contact your insurance agent. I live in Central Texas, and Accord is $600 a year cheaper than Camry to insure. This should be a consideration. Lastly, if someone is in the market for an Accord, let me know. My local dealership offers 6 years 80k miles free maintenance, nationwide. They are an amazing dealership that does good honest no nonsense business.

I had 1997 and 2006 Camry. I bought a new 2018 Camry SE. I don’t know where to start!! first year, I had engine check light on. Under factory warranty, Took it to dealership. They clear the code and did not repair anything. This car DOES NOT have side air vent for front side windows defog. It takes long time to clear all side windows. Using windshield wiper blade, you will feel the vibration. After turning off wiper blade, wipers go down and than they try to kick back out. Turn on ac and I notice two center ac vent flow less air than side air vent. Top dashboard is very light. Press it with your fingers right above center air vent. It seems to me if I press little to hard it will break. Check out little storage box under steering wheel left side. Mine broke and came to my hand one day. I am not kidding!! front bumper and the fander , plastic cover above wheel, two of the joint got lose and opened about an inch. I had to push them back and closed it. Try closing doors. It sounds very wired. They don’t sound solid at all. Lane assist works very poorly. Many times I drive over lane and car does not notice anything. Sometimes it will pull back inside lane after it passed the lane. I drove 2020 Kia Soul and it never miss lane keep assisting . Lane keep assisting works very well in Kia Soul. Otherwise, New camry is very smooth comfort driving. Front collision warning works very well. I liked the head lamp. It’s very bright at night. Toyota manufacture need to revise this version of camry. Soon, This was my third camry and I am very disappointed.

On the accords left driver information display it CAN display the tachometer while displaying it's menu options. It just needs to be configured in the Settings menu in the infotainment screen.

The Accord would be my choice as well, both from a styling and performance perspective. I was actually surprised to learn that the Accord beat the Camry in rear head and leg room, especially considering the Fastback roof design. That said, as you indicate, hard to go wrong with either.

This is the first review where the accord beat the Camry. Camry has a higher rating overall online. Safety is better, reliability and how the car handles is better. I have light leather interior in my SE and it’s gorgeous. I don’t like the accords bulky screen. The older accords exterior (2015-2016) ones look much better than the new exterior on the 2020.

how is the safety better? seems the same everywhere i look. Camry got a small bonus for better headlights on the higher trims
