The 2024 4Runner Limited, when dressed up navy blue or black, with chrome, big wheels, redwood leather, polished wood, street tuned suspension and full time 4wd; is the spitting image of a Range Rover for the Polo Pony crowd. Total reliability at half the starting price of a Rover. I played with FJ Cruisers, 4 of 'em, when I thought I needed to be Grizzly Adams. Now I'd rather be pulling up to a polo match in a Navy Blue 4Runner Limited, trailering a Bede BD-5J 'Acrostar' jet plane, (for when immediate departure is required), living the Bond life in Luxo Runners. Glad I found one still on the boat this month.

Buy out of state or switch brands. There are people who will sell and sell at a discount. After telling my local dealer I wasn't interested in the vehicle anymore, they called me back and I told them sell me this OTD price or I'll buy from XYZ out of state dealer at this price, today, fly out, and drive back, which will be cheaper. They basically offered me my price plus what they accurately figured my travel costs would be. This thing isn't that special for the price tbh. Get a 2017-2023 for actual reliability.

No frame mounted bump stops on the new 4runner and the new Tacoma. They went to shock mounted bump stop like a car and people are already taking them off road and bottoming out the suspension and cracking the shock tower or blowing to top hat off the shock tower completely. STUPID ENGINEERING! This will be another costly fiasco like the Tundra motor recall. Toyota needs to get their S $*$ together!

I'm curious about the resolution and sharpness of the camera display. I drive a 2021 Toyota Rav4 and I didn't realize just how poor the camera quality actually was until my work gave my a 2023 Silverado to drive. I have a 2015 LTD with 204k miles. Ive owned a Gen3, Gen 4, and currently the Gen 5. I don't see myself getting a 6. To me this 6 reminds me of the 2010-2013 Gen 5. That powertrain is a no-go for me until further notice, especially giving the issues of the new gen Tacoma and Tundra. BTW the display is obnoxious. They couldn't integrate it better into the dash?

Change the oil every 5k miles, don't hammer on it just before parking and the turbo will go 200k+ We can thank obama for harsh auto maker regs, biden made them even worse but it won't show for several years. Tractor turbos run under harsher conditions and go a very long time.

I like the front, looks like a Buffalo and the remaining angles look good too. Interior I'm not a big fan. Sharp corner features mixed with rounded soft features, while the center council looks far too big for what is being scarcely occupied by random buttons, and that laptop stuck to the dash🫣. I'm not sure why Toyota appears to be confused with the 3rd row option. Maybe I'm just confused. They designed the back to accommodate 3rd row by reducing cargo capacity and end up not using it on most trim levels, if at all?

What is Toyota thinking...I bought one of last V-6 4 Runner power trains...from what I have heard you don't want to pull much of a trailer with a turbo...I believe it's mistake to go to a turbo 4 ...but what do I know...mileage will be the same if not more if you are pulling a small trailer.. This is my 3rd 4 Runner Limited and likely my last...not as comfortable as the 2009 Limited and even after 15 years there are things the old 4 Runner had that the new version.hasn't...No locking gas tank lid, no self locking tail gate, smaller step up bar to cabin, window controls are exposed to the elements...obviously someone has never driven though a drive through in a snow storm or a rainy day.....however the electronics on my 2021 4 Runner are great if there are no glitches.10 years from now....I had to go to school on the new electronics but once you get them you will never look back...all said and done I still love my 4 Runner and the new ....well maybe not so much..

Just bought a 2022/23 F150 Fully Loaded and it blows this thing away. I'm coming from a Highlander that we loved but we have two of them so a truck makes sense for 2nd vehicle but I was not impressed at all with the Tundra, Tacoma, or Land Cruiser they were ugly in person and the Ford blew them away as well, especially the interior and features for the money were not even close. Add to this the reliability with Toyota has not been stellar lately and I'm a kid in a candy store with this new Truck!

The button is a great feature. On my 2024 Highlander Limited, it’s next to the steering wheel. Push it to turn the start stop feature off. Do it as soon as I start my car. Takes one second. The BMW ( at least the X1) requires you to go into the screen every time. The start stop feature itself is another Government emissions requirement.

The latest problem that has surfaced is there is no bump stop on the suspension so the front shocks are busting through the top of the shock. Turbo problems, transmission problems. The tacoma, the LC and coming 4runner share the same suspension, and the same problems will happen. 60K+ dollars forget about it.

Bought my 5th gen again after trading in my 2014 to enjoy what top quality the 5th gen has brought me. The new generation has a different feel when you see and feel up close what the quality is like. Especially that new “Land cruiser” which has noticeable differences in quality closing that card board trunk. You’re making the right choice. These trucks over 50 grand are not worth it in the slightest considering the quality they are releasing.

I hope the seats aren't the same one used in the Tacoma limited, those were stiff as heck.
