2 months of training everyday for 6 hours is worth it... lots of people have college degree which takes four years to finish, it's lots of hard work too and lots of time you don't even get job after college

Does the card counting method you guys use only work for 1 to 2 decks? Because I live near 1 casino (electronic gaming) which uses 6 decks. While I'm one of the best skilled players by far there, it is still hard to win and keep a good track with so many decks/cards/possibilities. I practice on an app game on my phone, which uses 4 decks shuffled every 4 rounds, and is multiplayer so it really gives me that casino feel of playing with other people where I can see different kinds of scenarios. In the game I played for well over a year, and I think I have a real talent for predicting wins or counting cards. The method I use is the zen method, but with the 6 decks there is only a narrow window of opportunity for me to place a big win bet. Any suggestions? Is it a lost cause for me to try and win with the odds stacked? I seem to do really well before the odds catch up with me. One time I won almost 7 grand playing with the 6 decks. And no I didn't give it back either lol. But I was just wondering if you have any advice for me other than the obvious "find a legit casino"? because I really don't have the funding to travel to a big casino. The closest one to me is in another state completely and I just don't make that kind of money to do out of state gambling ventures.

Hello Layne, Thank you for your comment. You've asked quite a few questions so I'll do my best to give you honest answers. 1. Yes, our method will work for any number of decks in play. Yes 6 deck games are beatable, however, not all games are created equal. The rules and shoe penetration really determine whether or not counting will make a difference for you. 2. I don't mean to be rude, but the fact that you have not considered rules, penetration, or that 6 deck games are beatable, would lead me to believe you are NOT actually beating the game, despite the tremendous luck you've had. I also know people who DO understand those concepts and they still don't have a winning game. Despite what your experience has taught, I assure you, you do NOT have a talent for predicting wins. When you are playing blackjack, you can use math or you can use NOT-math. There is no middle ground. 3. As far as advice, I would probably advise not going to the casino anymore, with the intention of beating the game. The more you convince yourself that you are beating the game the more money you will be willing to risk, and from the level of knowledge you've demonstrated so far, I think that story has a bad ending. There is a reason casinos offer blackjack games that are beatable. It's incredibly easy for people to convince themselves they are beating the game and the casino LOVES it. 4. If you want to take the game seriously there are a number of resources available to perfect your game, but it's not easy. It's about as difficult as learning to play an instrument or learning a new language. The concepts are not complicated but they take a lot of practice. I hope this answers your questions. Best luck to you!

By predict wins I meant keeping track of the cards to try and get a good idea whether I will get a 20 on a good hand. I think the odds are poor at the one I play at, which is why I was asking for advice. The cards are shuffled electronically after 52 or more cards are cut out of the deck. The rest of the rules are normal, except with a pair of aces you only get one card. That kind of shifts the game more into the house's favor and makes me not split aces. I don't think I beat the game, I was just wondering if it was possible with 6 decks. I understand, I will do some more research on this.

Layne Combs Getting only 1 additional card on an ace split is part of the rules. I've never played in a casino that allowed me to take more cards. It does suck but it's still worth splitting the aces.

Do you guys only use hi-lo and what about level 3 counting method
@Blackjackapprenticeship10 жыл бұрын
Hello Mitch, we use Hi-Lo exclusively. The higher level systems are a lot harder to implement perfectly in a casino and make you more prone to making mistakes. Plus the amount of time and effort it would take to learn and implement doesn't seem worth it to us for the marginal improvement in the system's effectiveness. It's much more important to use a system perfectly than it is to use the most powerful system. That's our philosophy but you're welcome to disagree with us.

When I am practicing I like to practice Wong Halves which is far more difficult then Hi Lo. I don't use it in a playing situation but I have found by practicing Wong Halves it makes me much sharper and quicker at Hi Lo. Just what I have found.

It took me 3 days to learn how to card count and play blackjack professionally, I went to a casino when I felt comfortable and started counting.. I went in with £150 and walk away with £600, that is off counting alone and I learnt how to do it in three days!
@Blackjackapprenticeship10 жыл бұрын
Not to burst your bubble connor but it takes a minimum of about a hundred hours of practice to become a winning blackjack player. Usually longer than that. There' no chance you learned it in 3 days. You may have won that day but you could have just as easily lost that day too. Even with perfect card counting we still lose 49% of our sessions. That's right, almost half the time we walk away a loser. But that also means we win 51% of our sessions and that's how we make money in the long run. Card counting takes a lot of practice but once you have the skill it can be quite profitable.
@Layne16010 жыл бұрын
That is called luck.. to think that since you won 4x your cash stack on one occasion that you're actually a pro counter is a joke. I have made 100x my beginning amount (winning thousands) and I don't consider myself a pro. Far from it. I hate to be rude but you're going to lose your ass with that mentality.

So I've heard from several resources that if you maximize your potential (i.e. you've mastered basic strategy and card counting), you still can't have more than a 1.5-2% edge on the house. Based on that, if you bet $1M over the long term, you'd only bring in $15-20K. So how is it that you guys have taken the Casinos for millions? Did you get lucky and win a few very large bets? Or is what I'm saying in the paragraph above not totally correct? What am I missing here?
@Blackjackapprenticeship7 жыл бұрын
Gordon, This is Colin here. I'm going to explain the math a little better... Let's say that you are a card counter and your average bet is $100 (your bets change from $10-$200, but the average amount you bet is $100). A card counter will roughly play 100 rounds/hr. So if you have a 1% advantage, that means that in an hour you will expect to make $100x.01x100 = $100/hr. Now that is very overly-simplified math, but you can see roughly how the Expected Value ("EV") works out for a card counter. I made over $300/hr for my blackjack career (a couple thousand hours of play). Our teams averaged about $200/hr, for over 15,000 hours of play, thus the millions we've won. None of it had to do with luck, as luck is ruled out after a couple hundred hours of play, and you are simply left with the mathematical results of your play. Hope that clarifies things for you!
