ok so The BOSS token can be used to reward validators, correct, While the system could function without a token, having one simplifies interactions between both chains. Since BTC has high transaction fees and ADA isn't specifically designed for such interoperability yet, a token like BOSS can streamline the process. It helps maintain unity between both chains, reducing the need for constant swapping, and can also incentivize community participation by distributing fees.

It sounds nearly identical to every other portal/bridge just with some snake selling it to you 4 years behind every other bridge/portal. It's not trustless and it's not foolproof, it's a smart contract written by a human and not a particularly smart one from what I can see. It has risks of being attacked or having bugs just like any other. You are trusting you will get your btc back when that isn't guaranteed, who's controlling the supply of wrapped btc on ada app side and ensuring it doesn't outstrip actual supply, what if it does and there is a rush on the portal... so many trust issues.

I do not see any contradiction to what Yago said on the Cardano summit. He is just extending the BOS system to other chains in the very sense of interoperability. As long as Cardano is capable to keep up with its scaling solutions and innovative power it will only be positive in the long run for the whole blockchain industry. There is absolutely no need to worry.

I didn't get from this interview that the token was launched yet. He did say they haven't established tokenomics....yet. Which to me means they are working on it. Also, it sounds like they've forgone VC money, which is a good thing. I'm not vouching for this project but I'm willing to see where it goes and learn more.

@@richard-df6pr i looked into it and i think BOSS token will be use or can be use to reward validators? yes it can work without a token but is easier to have a token to move around both chains sense btc has high transaction fees and ada has not designed to do that yet it will also keep everything unified with both chains instead of having to swap constintatly and it can encourage the community to participate by giving them fees

Why not launching the token vesting as a reward mechanism for the node validators, that way the only people that get the tokens are the ones willing to validate tx

Paul can you confirm a couple of things: If I understood the interview correctly, the BOS token has not launched yet and they haven't set any tokenomics, which I take to mean they are working on but haven't released yet. Correct? Also, that they want to sell BOS token privately, hopefully pre-selling them all prior to launch, and want to do it that way to forego VC investment? Do I have that right?
