for the glass cloth, idk if it's a bad idea but i've always cut the cloth into strips like you did but I would spray the inside with spray adhesive to lay down a full layer of cloth and then resin the entire thing at once. saves a bit of time i'd imagine but is obviously an extra product needed.

Amazing result! The smoothness after the tedious sanding is well worth it and it looks like a movie prop. When I made my ODST armor based on the Landfall trailer I started glueing my stretchy straps on the underside AND on top, with big overlapping onto the armor material(underside ofc so it wont show). That made the straps extremely durable as one requirement for my suit was that I must be able to run in it, change poses like going crouch rapidly and repleatedly. So for an helmet that comes on and off I would reinforce the straps a bit. Awesome build anyways!

I just want to say.. what you're doing here on this channel. It's great. Making something like this accessable to your audience and showing them how they can do this themselves.. you're not only giving them a chance to make something cool with their own hands, but you're giving them the opportunity to fall in love with crafting. 🎩hats off to you mate. hats off. PS. visually, I think you got most of it onscreen (the gloves to show you were protecting yourself from the fiberglass, and the warnings on the resin bottle).. BUT you have to say these things. this is pretty important to push out there, the whole safety thing. I know you know how to do protect yourself from these things. But for future, if you're using these things, generally people give verbal warnings. And especially if you're sending crafters to the products directly, you should probably tell them, "hey watch out for this product for this this and this reason". If they're smart, they'll read the bottles and stuff. If they don't care, tell them. And if they don't listen, well that's on them. I really don't know how to write a comment about health and safety. I just want to be respectful. And give feedback and stuff. Cheers.

Dude this is absolutely insane! I love how clean this looks! If you want, something that I think could enhance it is if you find a green to purple color shift paint and apply it to the back and top of the head, because in the first movie his head seemed to have a purple tint at some angles like they were trying to hint at the purple cap from the comic design, and the color shift paint could give that subtle effect. Now you definitely need to revisit your retractable web shooter and base it off one of the new designs from No Way Home

One thing I like from the description is telling people to use air dry clay instead of polymer clay. Polymer clay hit with spray paint won't let the paint dry because of all the oils in the clay which are pulled out when baked, but if you try baking spray painted polymer clay, it'll just catch on fire. I was informed of this by my old high school ceramics teacher. So if you're ever doing a project that is not oven safe, do not use polymer clay unless you are willing to wait practically weeks for it to harden from natural heat if planning on using spray paint. Either way, just don't use polymer clay for any kinda build that's going to be destroyed if baked.

The moment I saw the clay I felt bad for you knowing where that was headed. lol I sculpt with that clay, it's a great product but it's not meant for such crafts. Lesson learned though. You should definitely try using it for what it's meant for, you have a natural talent.
