This has got to be my favorite episodr to date currently! With Yuyu's character development and his analysis of the fight as well with play testing his deck even if it was against no one. I takes me back to regionals. I spent a month practicing and goldfishing Great Nature early in G-Era learning optimal lines and stacking efficient draw turns. When the time did come, I went X-2 only ranking 18th shy of the top 16. I lost to Sanctuary Guard Deck and tilted into another loss against a Murakumo Legion deck. Can't say that things got better for me and the game past that but it was an unforgettable event.

I love this episode, The Mirei and Yuyu interaction was very wholesome, and I like how Haruka and Zakusa are just there watching them. Tohya saying "Free accommodations means we can buy more cards!", Yeah he needs a financial advisor, Also it's nice to see more of Zakusa and his story, for a guy who has the power to send you to darkness he's kind and gentle, I like him a lot more. As for the new X-Overdress is like XYZ and Fusion, and I love it so much, we see a bit more development with Yuyu, and I can really relate to Zakusa's last statement, especially when playing VGZERO, also I kinda feel bad for him. So next fight is Mirei and Urara, very excited for it especially their interaction. Looking at the preview we'll see more of Urara and I think she might get her first lost here, or not we'll see.

MAN is this season of Vanguard really good. If this keeps up, it might just top the Link Joker arc or the Shinemon arc for me. The characters are being developed really well and the fight choreography (is that the right word to use?) has been top notch.

Sincw im assuming the Card was on a Daybreak Sleeves yuyu had to move the card to a blackout sleeve so it dosent stick out the sticker might still be on the daybreak sleeves. Assuming mirei dosent have any blackout custom sleeves so she had to put in on one of her custom sleeves.

All I can say is this episode is really good. X overdress is an interesting concept combining trickstar with another unit, tho it would probably be a bit problematic in deck building since you need to search 3 cards now in x overdress instead of the usual 2. As for the episode there's a lot to cover I'm still not a fan of skipping fights since it reminds me of what happened during highschool Arc in the V series, also seeing Yu-Yu using evolved versions of his ride line was great and the new Nirvana's skill is better than the grade 4 Nirvana TBH. Also glad to see Tohya still prioritizing buying cards first and the painting Zakhuza made is adorable. Overall a great episode but still hate the fact that they are skipping fights.

I'd be hesitant to say that Nirvana Jheva has a better effect than Mahar Nirvana. Dealing a damage, reviving trickstar, and a passive 10k to the front row (not to mention triple drive) is really good. That being said, unless Xoverdress counts as being in the Overdress state (which from the card text we got today, I'm thinking it doesn't), Nirvana Jheva presents an entirely new build for Trickstar. I can definitely see the deck still running Vairina Arcs.... and that's about it from the old Overdress units.

Great great GREAT development for our little man Yuyu. GODDAMN Xoverdress looking very nutty right now. Not to diminished Zakuza tho he also did great and I actually genuinely care about him for once. Still a little miffed they skip some fights but hey if every main fight shown being this detailed and has great sakuga I'm all in for it. And this episode is the sole reason why I didn't give up on Overdress as an anime. To me I didn't really like anything from any of it's seasons except for 2 music tracks, 2 1/2 fights, (Danji vs Tohya round 2, Yuyu vs Greedon kid and part of his match with Mirei.) But even though I knew I wouldn't like it I kept coming back week after week until yes, eventually my hope was realized into this. Cross Dress was amazing to see, I love Yuyu's new theme and the one that reminds of the 1 Buddyfight theme, more screentime for Zakusa and seeing his new cards along with Yuyu finally getting a new ride line and now I finally actually respect him on some ground, I was waiting for this and finally it's come. I can now fully say I have enjoyed a full episode of Overdress/Will+Dress and I can't wait to see what happens next.

You know… 4 episodes in and it just hit me no one else other than Yu-yu and Tohya got new outfits… I mean it’s not bad the character design is one of Vanguard’s strongest points but why only Yu-yu and Tohya? In the original everyone got a new outfit every Arc not counting school uniforms. In Link Joker Aichi is the most drastic but Misaki cut her hair and everyone got new school outfits. In G they did this too until NEXT and G where everything got very shiny and also new outfits… but I will admit Overdress is significantly shorter with only 12 or so episodes a season and the characters basically have Forever clothes that they wear every episode so maybe it’s asking to much for to have entirely new wardrobe every episode since it doesn’t really run long enough to have multiple arcs a season, but at least Give Megumi a new hat or pin for her jacket.
