I just notice this as I was rewatching this. The most probable reason why a second Fated Clash occurred was because the moment Suo wished for him to return to zero it also erased all of the Design force it gathered up at the time, which is why Gabwelius did another Fated Clash to try and gather enough Design Force for his agenda.

Ofc does but I think boils down to 2 things 1 if he where to do what hikari say that me he letting present hikari to suffer and die. even though there was a small chance that he could change that for her 2 he’s fighting for the same reason future hikari was. To let his precious little sister live so that they could be together in the future You mustn’t forget, hikari accident happen when she was a child and clear akina holds regret over what happened. And has taught him to value the lives of others more With the regret and guilt plus his kind hearted nature is really that strange aki the way that he is Finally one question If you were in his position. Would you be able to withdraw. Even if it was impossible if you saw the tiniest chance to save someone life. To be given more time with them. Would you be able to just give up?
