I was kind of hoping they wouldn't skip the whole ride up to grade 3 like they did with V series and keep it like the original where you can see all their plays, It was the first episode so I hope they don't continue the skipping

The problem with that is then the fights take a lot longer and we would have less “story/plot” in the episode or we would have a lot of two parters. Like for important fights I’m with you but I think most fights should skip around a bit or go through the first few turns quickly and tbf they didn’t completely skip it they said it happened but went by it quickly

Man, i like how the realistic the game is with how they pull the card and how realisticly the game played, and this is something that really interesting to watch. Slice of Life is a different genre then just characters living life.. I'd say this is a drama series that's hitting with a slow burn to then build up to vanguard fights. Storytelling has never been vanguards strong point so It may take awhile to get used to but I believe itll stick

However, the stories gradually built up to an unexpected plot, and expand to like 4 seasons with over-the-top cardfighting.
