And to be frank, I went to a concert three days after my great grandmother passed away. Mind you I spent time with her all the way up until she passed and I had Family call me rude because I went on a trip that I was planning for months. whether I chose to stay home or go where I went. It was not going to bring my great grandmother back.

Grief is such a weird thing. My dad died 2 months ago, he was an organ donor i went about my life for 2 weeks until AFTER his funeral, reality finally only hit me when they were closing the door of the herse taking him away and i was there by myself and it hit me. Meanwhile those 2 weeks prior i THOUGHT i was in "reality". I dont agree with people bashing people immediately after a tragedy. Edit: for those 2 weeks i didnt think he was dead, even after seeing him in the casket; it didnt happen till that exact moment when i was alone

This reminds me of when my friends brother passed away and people was expecting her to be sad and miserable. My city was full of judgmental ass people. I dyed my hair red and bought this black dress and a black rimmed hat like they wear at church. I could tell they were talking shit. I 110% agree with you Dee people grieve and react differently depending on who you are, and you mental state and past experiences, when my grandma passed a lot of people (including myself) was confused at how I was processing the info. I think the guy should of at least maybe not posted about going to the concert. Me personally, I can’t celebrate if someone I love is very sick or something like that. There were a few other times I was in a bad space and I isolated myself and I had a friend kind of make me feel bad for that. But her mom was in the hospital fighting for life at one point and she was outside. It’s like okay that’s your way of coping, that’s not mine and i had to have a conversation with her about that and she finally understood and when I was going through stuff, offered to come visit me and sit down and talk. People need to accept that people have different ways of dealing with things.
