I think Family Guy was actually accused of "damaging children" or something, because there is an episode where Peter Griffin is talking about something and suddenly looks into the camera and goes something like "for example, if you think a show is bad for your children, instead of blaming the show, blame yourself for letting the kids watch the show" *moment of silence while Peter stares into the camera "Yeah!" and I took that as a response to criticism.

do we really want to give this generation of overprotective parents more of a reason to censor and monitor their children? I think we forget how many ways in which a parent can censor their children's content and track their every move. Do we really think that's working?? kids ages 11-14 these days can find anything, anywhere if there's a smartphone in the facility. On the flip side, are we expecting those who are single parents or parents of low-income households to set even more time aside to watch and monitor their children? Let's be real, all these kids are snatching their phones in the middle of the night to watch god knows what on the internet and parents at the end of the day are people.

@MariWakocha3 жыл бұрын
@@isabellebarrett2584 I think you're right in that parents are already pushed to censor and monitor their children in a way that can definitely be too much, but it can't be a reason to ban the existence of media that's not for children. Media can't cater to all parents' restrictions, so if you strongly feel your children shouldn't watch a certain kind of content, it has to be on your responsibility. If a child sneaks online to find videos they're not allowed to watch, they can indeed find absolutely anything, but then stuff like Family Guy suddenly isn't a big issue compared to other things they might find. Monitoring children also doesn't have to mean banning anything you deem bad for them, but can also be talking to your child about the internet, tv and other media and letting them know what and why you don't want them seeing it.

I was trapped in South Ga and unaware of rap music until 1978 when I moved to California. I listened to some songs and my heart was with it. A few rappers are so great they transcend a person’s musical norms. Cardi, you have fans of all ages and all colors. It’s not my place to be proud of you, so If you were my daughter, I would be so proud I’d burst open. Thank you for all the wonderful music. Ms Lux, much parental love to you as well. I have defended CardiB’s. music to anyone trying to tear her down. Recent events have put the trans community and woman’s rights together for some reason. Last week this person in my class who was totally being a victim blamer. I asked the kids at my table what they thought about dress codes (because I wanted to see if anyone would do this thing with me where we all wore crop tops and shorts because dress codes are victim blaming little girls when boys look at them) well anyways this one person in my class said that women who wear cropped shirts are basically teasing men. I explained why what they were saying was wrong and so did this other boy in my class. I wasn’t mad until they kept insisting that they were right and continued victim blaming. I swear I almost beat this kid up. And then the same day this other girl was wearing a shirt that said “blue lives matter” I asked what it meant (I know dang well what it meant) she said that it meant cops lives matter. We got into a small argument and I explained y she was wrong. She was being so stupid and wouldn’t change her mind. She was saying the stupidest crap. Eventually I gave up because the bell rang. After class when I was walking to the buses outside her friend caught up to me and told me that she was basically brainwashed by her mom and dad. But kids remember you are allowed to have an opinion (but also be safe ) you are allowed to change the cycle of bad people in your family. You are supposed to be the change

Dress codes are actually so dumb. So girls can't show shoulders, but boys on the track team can walk around shirtless? What do you mean? And I don't really blame the male students, I blame the 40-60 year old men at the top of school districts who looked at the shoulders of a 14 year old and thought "oooo, that's distracting, better cover those up". Mad creepy
@larsswig9123 жыл бұрын
@@obievergreen3771 look, I'm a flaming bisexual, women are fricking awesome. but, if I see a girl's shoulder or a girl wearing a crop top and can still control myself, why can't straight men? I mean I don't even need to "control myself" because I dont feel the need to jump on every single cute girl I see in the first place. so yeah needing to dress modestly to not make men "lose control" makes even less sense.
@obievergreen37713 жыл бұрын
@@larsswig912 oh absolutely, there's work that needs to be done there but what I should've elaborated on more is that these people at the top of the school districts not only making minimal effort to make schools safer for girls, but also perpetuating the sexualization of less modest clothing, really isn't helping. Think of it this way... If you're a recovering alcoholic who wants to get better, is it productive to avoid all situations involving alcohol, like going to places where other people might drink altogether? No. So yes, it's the responsibility of straight men to not be predatory, but to a very high, maybe even higher degree, it's the responsibility of the people who see them through critical developmental years to ensure they can be around girls without losing their minds and making bad choices.

Is the title alternate universe or something? You people do realise that Candace completely own Cardi B on this right? Candace is a smart woman with dignity and she treat herself with respect. It is funny that today we consider this as misogyny while strip naked on stage is consider as empowering.

For about a decade or so when I was questioning my gender identity was I knew of trangender was but I didn't know about bigender/non-binary. Hence, with myself being the latter, it took longer to figure out my gender identity.

She dang well knows that men will treat you however they darn well please regardless of what you say, do or wear... just because she wants to be a conservative woman that doesn’t mean that other women inspire to be the same, others want to step out of the kitchen & enjoy their independence. If Cardie is truly such a bad person so much so to the point where she feels that Cardie is beneath her then why is Cardie her favorite topic? All Cardie do is minding her own business and enjoying her femininity & women hood as she sees fit, the fact that she may have younger fans isn’t her fault nor responsibility. Candy is either a fan or obsessed with her, either way she needs the clout.

No, no, men definitely treat you based on how you dress. Remember in the 1800s when women didn’t show their ankles or anything and there were no cases of violence against women? /s
@remyraymay3 жыл бұрын
@@unclenought6385 that doesn’t reflect modern times.... women/girls can wear loosely fitted clothing that doesn’t show ankles & still experience sexual assault. This day and age there’s a large group of men that don’t care what women wear and just want to take advantage of them simply because they want to not because of ankles or lack there of.
@unclenought63853 жыл бұрын
@@remyraymay I was being ironic. /s means ‘being sarcastic’. Women in the 1800s were still assaulted, even wearing quite modest clothing; I was making fun of the conservatives that forget that.

I can't believe Candace Owen took this to FOX news, it really wasn't that big of a deal. I think even conservatives are tired of Cadence. I'm so glad Cardi put Candace in her place.

For decades men have been singing about sex with women in the most descriptive and (sometimes) violent ways. They have featured women dressed scantily and dancing provocatively. But when a woman sings about her view on sex and chooses to dress/dance similarly (well..I haven't seen CardiB's grammy performance tbh), then it's 'disgraceful' or 'undignified'. Many women have been told the same...Madonna, Miley Cyrus, etc. They can feature in men's sexual artistic expression but can't take control of their own? Get outa here, Candy!

Sadly, I knew of the fox news report of Meg and Cardi's performance on the grammys before seeing it and with the way they described it in the fox interview versus how the performance actually was, it was a bit disappointing. 😭
@padmac81763 жыл бұрын
I don't think Candace was being homophobic. It was the the blatant pornographic nature of Cardi's performance that she was calling out, it wouldn't have made a difference if it was with another woman or a man on stage. And I'm a gay dude but I stand with Candace here.
