CLASSIC ,, i was working at Oceanworks making boards in orange county back through like 82-86 and JK from San Diego Surf Club would bring us up these 9'0"s and 10'0" guns to glass after a couple times we were like dude were are all these boards going he just smiled and asked u wanna find out ,, well yeah that started a a pretty regular weekend thing to Todos ,, back then no body was really hip to the island and fisherman had yet to start taking surfers out to the island if u didn't have boat u weren't going ,, then Gerlack and Parsons did a photo shoot out there and the cat was out of the bag ,, but for a few yrs it was just us and maybe 7 or 8 friends some good memories for sure ,, some other great waves around the islands ,, if u no u no

GREAT father and family. Even if his son didn’t turn out to be the world’s best longboarder, this is what a great life looked like before technology. Aside from having to buy a newspaper to get a surf forecast , I wish I could go back to 1989.
