It always amazes me how much smaller European and British cars are than their American contemporaries...probably because of the ridiculously narrow streets, designed in the middle ages (some even dating to Roman days).

They weren't designed! They just followed cart tracks, except when the Romans turned up, but also we are a considerably smaller country than the US!

Great series on the post WW 2 era of the British motor car and especially Austin and Morris and thier badge engineered cousins. Great days for such cars. However the seeds are boing sowm here for the later disaters of BRITISH LEYLAND.
