Excellent video, as always! Superb seamanship and humour. 😂 I bought a boat in Neyland and did that journey in reverse. Your pilotage is spot on. Jack's Sound worried me, but Ramsay was a doddle.

I too once purchased a boat in Neyland from Boatshed. It leaked all the way to Rhos on Sea where we took it out and found a hole blocked off with a bit of wood and some silicone! Can’t believe what people will do to sell a boat! Jack sound demands a passage plan to fit, agreed. Mike

Hi James if ever you do let me know. No sailed in Plymouth for a couple of years but I recall it as a nice place to sail, so enjoy your home waters till you have the time to cruise. Regards mike

Good to pass you yesterday, have a safe trip.

Hi Arthur, that means you’re back in one piece. No leaks then? Good! Cascade looks fast but I guess that is standard anyway for you 😁

Good to see you back on the water. Are you heading much further south this year?
@sailingcosiloveit4 ай бұрын
At the moment we are thinking of going inland down the Bristol Channel 😁

The siren is from the refinery. They test it weekly. As long as it goes on the hour or half past the hour we know we're safe and not about to disappear in a massive mushroom cloud. Usually goes about 2pm or 12.30pm.

Good to see someone local doing a sailing channel. I've got a little boat up at Dickies and only started two years ago. I was wondering if you would like to sail together as a little flotilla as it would give me more confidence? So far I've only managed going round the island and was piloted through the Swellies. Anyway, happy sailing ⛵️

Always happy to sail in company. Which club are you with? Mike
@voicewithinthevoid3 ай бұрын
@sailingcosiloveit I'm not with any club at the moment. For the past 2 years since buying the boat I've been learn more about boat repairs and maintenance than I have sailing. This year, however, I have more confidence in my 23 foot slow westerly, and hope to gain more experience. My boat goes in the water tomorrow and I feel the butterflys already swimming in my stomach 🙃 you've probably said this in one off your vids, but which club are you with? Chris

Go online and join the NWCC. Loads of cruising and other stuff in company. You can even book for this years La La rally which I’m sure you would love. Never knew westerly made a slow boat??

@sailingcosiloveit Ok will do, thanks. Yeah my little pageant is slow. I'm lucky to see 4kts when pushing tide up to puffin sound. But she's always got me home. The engine is a Beta Marine 16hp and its very easy to maintain. Anyway, joy your sailing!

By the way your boat is supposed to out perform mine so don’t give me slow! I know slow 🤣
