Always enjoy your narration. I don’t know how you remember all that detail. You really are getting a lot out of that boat. I noticed when you were close hauled, the genoa looked v close to the spreader tip. Or is it just the camera angle?

When sailing close to the wind, like at the end of the video: 1. The genoa is too large, so your sheet track is not long enough, this can be fixed by furling the genoa slightly. 2. The mainsail needs a reef, and the mainsheet should be tightened. Kind regards, fellow sailor in a LM 27

Thanks for this excellent guide. Something that made me cringe, though, was watching you work with two spanners right above the briny deep. When I do this job, I'll tie a length of string through the ring end of the spanner, with the other end attached to my belt loop or something. I long ago figured out ways to deal with my butterfingers.

Hi Mike hope all is well. A short season this year for me due to poor weather windows. I’ve been searching through your videos to find the one about the sails. You said you were pleased with price, quality and service plus you reduced your Genoa. I am thinking of doing the same as I seam to be constantly overpowered and sail better with it slightly reefed plus it’s a very heavy material making it difficult to get going in light winds. I saw your AIS track. Tack angle was magic. Those speeds are amazing. You certainly made effective changes. But its not just Swallow. Its your sailing. Constantly paying attention and adjusting. Watching cos I love it!! Your cheeky joyful grin made me smile!

Happy the fishing net is working ok, just needs a line over the boom to elevate it off the surface a bit, excellent sailing and going at quite the pace now, you will have to adjust your passage predictions or you might turn up a day early.

when you got it out the yard after winter ,first sail i knew it faster could see the difference comparing it with old videos and same weather conditions, so glad you got rid of that snow plough on the bow pushing water and upsetting the tide times all along the west coast of uk 😂😂
