Poor guy! This just proves the limitations of the justice system and it being deeply flawed! I'm glad this innocent man was finally released and let's "pray" those who falsely accused him will be prosecuted and he'll be compensated accordingly!

It's extraordinary that Cardinal Pell wasn't broken by the corrupt machinations of the state of Victoria. The guy went through a type of hell. Only faith in God can lead a man out of such putrid darkness.

Saint Leonard of Noblac. He converted to Christianity with the king, he became a preacher and monk-hermit, he ministered to the imprisoned, he advocated for their better treatment and release, and when prisoners found they had not life to return to he founded an monastery and village that they could either pray or live at. Saint Leonard of Noblac pray for us that we may and shall have very-merciful policing, prosecution, justice, correctional, and post-correctional reform.

Giving a fluff piece to someone like Pell is disgraceful. The allegations go beyond what he was rightly or wrongly acquitted of. That I know of there are at least four people levying accusations and that would be weird of someone who's innocent and his handling of what other priests were most certainly guilty of was appalling and he even said his decision to make out of court payments were to avoid the church being embarrassed.
