Underrated cardio activity: Hiking in nature. It really trains your lower legs, especially your calves and ankle strength. Plus, you naturally kick in your survival instinct because you're outdoors, meaning you can't just stop in the middle of your hike unless you're at a high vantage point and want to take in some views. Hiking trails offer a lot of incline and decline terrain, so your heart rate will definitely be rollercoasting. I also enjoy the quietness of the outdoors especially in the morning.

i think one benefit of the treadmill is that you can increase the inclination, and unlike the "natural" way of doing incline walk is that you can pretty easily progressive overload the angle, also the elliptical and bike you can increase the difficulty of the exercise by increasing the load which creates resistance and thus burns more calories and doesn't stress your joints as well.

I think walking can be great to start or finish the day, simply walking around for like 30 minutes is also very good for mental health, and a good way to get more relaxed. When not being a active person, these 30 minutes can really do wonders, since the brains main function is movement With cycling i love to ride around, but i bought one for inhome as well. To simply do something when gaming, watching KZbin etc. Especially when in the mood of doing longer sessions of those kind of things. Sooooo, I’d add yoga, low impact, moves your whole body and burns more calorie then rucking. Also helps with mobility by a LOT, it can easily replace a hypertrophy workout with prolonged pose-holding. It’s basically swimming without water, good for your whole body with minimal risk of injury. 11/10 definitely recommend it
@aether3456Ай бұрын
Isometric exercise is much less growth promoting than conventional exercise, so no there's no way it can replace a hypertrophy workout. I'm also not sure it burns more calories than rucking. Yoga isn't going to burn more calories than just resistance training, and certainly not any other conventional form of cardio. Yoga isn't cardio, just because you feel exertion during it doesn't mean it's cardiovascular exercise. The point of cardio is to train your cardiovascular and cardiorespiratory systems, which yoga doesn't do.
@SirBalageGАй бұрын
@@aether3456 believe me man, it's so versatile that one minute you're doing a stretch, the next minute you're gasping for air as you're practically doing a harder version of jumping jacks. Prolonged pose holding is beneficial in a way that it conditions you to move your body in a certain way. You're right on the less growth, I might add though it's a great way for both muscle and strength retention! I left the gym for 6 months, did yoga the whole time and calisthenics for the first 2 months, I went back to the gym last week and I'm not saying I was doing my old PRs but I definitely came back stronger then on previous occasions. Calories burnt on the other hand, I'm a strong believer that you don't have to go for full exhaustion every time, and since you're using almost all of your muscles during practice, you're using a lot of energy I don't recommend it for 16-20 year old titans as it gets pretty boring but anybody above 25 is a great candidate to try it out, by that age you've got a couple bad injuries, eg I've got nerve problems in my shoulders due to lifting and yoga remedies it quite well. To be fair, I also do rucking 1-2 a week with 10 kg for an hour and go on daily walks for an hour at least, twice yoga and twice gym for the past 2 weeks. I don't have the capacity to do some 5 days in the gym training to failure every time, I just enjoy moving my body.

We never had lockers, even in university. I had to bring all my textbooks, notes, everything plus a 15 in thickass gaming laptop. Had to do it for like a year and a half. No wonder I’ve put on atleast 15 kgs after uni.

Rucking is fine unless you do it regularly in which case your spine is at risk. Treadmill is better for overweight people and newbies because running on asphalt in worn-out shoes with improper technique will cause your legs to fall apart. Burpees are excellent only that you have to do them for 40 minutes on end which isn't something even well-trained people would wanna do.

If burpees get s tier, even tho they have a skill curve, jump rope with a lower skill curve (kids can master it) should be at least A tier

What is your opinion on combat sports work like bag work and or plyometrics
@1stuffforfunАй бұрын
Better than rucking is actually climbing a mountain you walk uphill which makes it harder with gear on your back
