I didn’t finish watching this... she might have said this later... but you get a better workout ( more resistance) when you are in the water at chest level, just below your armpits. That way you keep your arms below the water level and that increases the upper body and abdominal workout. That’s what we do at the gym. I spend almost an hour jogging and exercising in the pool almost daily and it feels great!

As our Covid restrictions are easing I'm finally going back to do some cardio in 3 days. These exercises really helped my joints avoid pain I would normally get on land exercises before our lock down. Looking forward to Sunday's work out.

I would love it if she would make more water aerobics videos. It'd be great if there was a video that would allow you to follow along (actually do the exercises for 1 minute, instead of 30 seconds). I have a TV outside and follow along with the video. I can't find many good instructional videos for water aerobics online. Would love it if Ruth made some more!

@@RuthUngererbodybyruth Wow that's awesome that you responded! =) I saw 2 other videos "noodle to work your abs in the pool! " and "Pool workout (awesome arms, abs and legs on the side of the pool)" I do the noodle workout sometimes, but I usually skip the "pool workout" one since it has a lot of exercises using the side of the pool. I really am looking for a good cardio workout inside the pool and this one "Cardio pool workout" is perfect (but I'd love more)! Since I discovered your videos I have been running the video two times (to try to get the 1 minute per exercise) almost every day as part of my pool workout routine. Thanks for mentioning the other videos, because I did not see "Water workout combining body weight resistance and plyometeics" and that one looks like a good one! I'll try it out this week. My friends and I are huge fans and if you get inspired to make more pool cardio workouts we would absolutely love it! Thanks so much

Run inside water is good for my knees?I'm 40 and need to make exercice to protect and endurence the cartilage of my knees.What do you recomend me to do?

sonia rodrigues hi there! Running in the water provides great resistance. If your water is shallow, you can do hamstring curls. If your water is chest height, jogging is perfect.

What do you wear on your feet? I noticed you wear some kind of footwear. When I do water aerobics, my feet feel the rough pool bottom and it is uncomfortable. Suggestions of footwear appreciated.

@@RuthUngererbodybyruth Could you tell me what type of water shoes? I do have water shoes but they’re kind of thick and heavy. I use them for walking on rocky shores. I was wondering if there’s some kind of lightweight water shoe that would protect the bottom of my feet. I love your videos and can’t wait to start working out with them!

Kimberly Williams EEIE Circle of Love hi Kimberly. My shallow end is 3 ft. 4-5 ft would be perfect for you. Some movements are easier on the joints in deeper water but you can get better range of motion if it’s more shallow.

What does that squat do for you in the water. Your body doesn't weigh as much.
