@jp-us9rq * I am so sorry for your young son to be going through something like this as he is so small, I pray for him as I just found today that I have arola atherosclerosis, peripheral artery, and cerebral disease, I was diagnosed with coronary artery heart disease need a new heart valve and had a first heart attack when I was just 38 I'm now Blessed to be 57 and I can't go under general anastasia, I hope I can do the angioplasty. btw I am also in a wheelchair and have lung disease I pray everyday and night for anyone else who is going through this kind of pain in their lives God be with you always 🙏 God bless your little boy, you and your family.🙏 stay strong in Jesus 🙏👊💛

My Dad passed away at the end of July last year. Aortic Stenosis was the cause of his death. He was 80 years old. His Dad had a heart condition and passed away in 1975 just before his 59th birthday. He was also diabetic. My Dad was Type 2 Diabetic and had been for about 25 years. He controlled it with Insulin injections and tablets. Is there a link between Aortic Stenosis and Diabetes? I ask as my younger Brother is Diabetic and controls it with medication and diet.

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad and thank you for sharing. There is data from studies that diabetes influences the natural course of aortic stenosis (AS), and those with diabetes might have an increased rate of progression from mild to severe AS.
