The range test was not done well. These units need to be mounted on helmet and not distributed by hand or car roof ans such.

I have a pair of these for snowboarding , I can attest that the range is atrocious. The moment I ride around a bend on the slope, I lose connection with my buddy. I’d say it’s not more than 200 meters

Thats a short distance with a 2 block radius, I guess it will be good if you had a bbq if you had a fair amount of land
