There is a really interesting story about when Musk first bought twitter he wanted to migrate all Twitter servers from one of the 3 major data-centers they used for a very childish reason. He completely ignored all the very smart experts who actually built Twitter when they told him just how hard that is and it would take at least a year. Instead he flew there in his private jet and hired very sketchy local movers for $15/hour to move the VERY expensive servers out of the data center. Well it turns out that the data center had been hard coded into the Twitter code base in thousands of places and that was the cause of a major outage. Musk is NOT a genius. He is a incredibly arrogant man-baby who refuses to listen to people who know more about things then he does when he really really should.

I live in the same county that Elon is building Starbase in. I hate that man with a passion. He just shoved himself into our community by force and refuses to listen to the input of the locals. He bought out our politicians and forced the locals of Boca Chica into legal battles over their land. He set up shop on a wildlife refuge and on a beloved beach. I hate how much he's done to our home. And as for the wall, I hate seeing our community politicized. Literally nothing ever happens here. There's already a boat-load of border patrol and Texas rangers monitoring the border and intimidating locals. We really don't need outsiders, no less a South African colonizer, to make things worse for us.

Anyone who actual pays attention know Musk nowhere near as smart as he think he is. He started off lying about his past - saying he grew up poor and a self made millionaire. That got exposed. He can't write code to save his life. He has 'invented' things that were already invented and on the market. He didn't found PayPal or Tesla. He bought into Tesla with the founding statement as part of the deal, then booted the people who actually founded Tesla and designed the original cars. Which, by the way, were meant to be more efficient and affordable. There are plenty of places on the 'net, KZbin included, that timeline his constant failures and how he managed to fail upwards.

There is actually more censorship with X complying with over 90% of take down requests by authoritative governments. There are more bots on Twitter pushing conspiracy theories. The only people that have benefited are those that want to spread misinformation about non-white people, immigrants, Jews, muslims and the queer community. Oh and those that want to use racial slurs but not be called out for it. Musk's buyout has seen the polarisation of topics that should not even be political. It has given legitimacy to fringe groups who think their voice is more important in a debate than anyone else's and then protects them from being called out on their bull crap.
