Hello Friends , In this part we will get introduced to a very critical process in the card verification process , that is PIN Translation. It is a mechanism by which the PIN passes from one hop to to the other across all entities right from entering the pin at ATM terminal to Issuer validating and sending confirmation back.

Thanks for this video. I noticed that you mentioned the Zone Master Key is used to generate the Zone Pin Key. Kindly clarify if this is so. I understand that the ZMK is used to encrypt the ZPKs at rest at the POI but not for generation. Isn't the generation of ZPK done by the HSM?
