Those are wonderful ideas. My Daddy died in a nursing home in January this year because of dementia. We always took him cheese crackers and his fav Mountain Dew sodas. We also took him slipper socks. They were extra large for an extra large man. God bless you.

Thank you for watching Rhonda, I just picked up daddy a carton of those little cokes in bottles))) Too expensive for me to stock in my frig, but worth every penny for him to drink as many as he wants)))

I have found lots of ideas at my local dollar tree. My mom has a roommate and so I always try to include something for them both to help them bond. I also like doing themed type baskets. I found popcorn buckets and filled it with individual pop smart bags and movies. I have also had fun putting together spa type baskets and goodie bags with snacks for Halloween.

Of course we want to see you make those cookies...I want to see more of that gorgeous kitchen!!! 💜 I am ashamed to say that donde I don't have anyone in my family that is in a nursing home, I had not thought about doing this......I will get some things tomorrow and drop off to some in our church that are homebound or in a nursing home. What a great and sweet loving idea that you are doing this. 🤗 Love your videos

Thank you for watching Amanda, we have a couple of members in our Sunday School class that have chronic illnesses and now in a nursing home and on birthday and Christmas,, we send a collection of things to them. I know it brightens their day. And thank you for the comment on my kitchen))) We moved into our "retirement home" two years ago and downsized....no more stairs.....no pool...smaller yard....closer to town...and we absolutely love it))) I still haven't decorated all the room yet, but I'll get to it))

We are (trying to) sell our home in Florida so that we can build our "retirement" home in Pennsylvania. He had his Grandpa and Grandma's farmhouse that was built by the Quakers in 1865. I initially wanted to remodel that home but....we think it's going to be less expensive to rebuild. (And, maybe I can have the Farmhouse as an antique/floral shop 😊.). I sure hope this will be our last home. I've traveled for years; my husband is retired Navy and lived all over the world. It's time for us both to set final roots. We pray that God makes a way for us to sell (where there seems to be no way with this virus and the high unemployment from the virus.) I can't wait to see your kitchen. Or whatever part you choose to show in your baking video. 🤗 After "online church" today, I'm headed to get some things for our homebound and nursing home residents. I'm excited about doing that. When I was a little girl, I would go with my Grandpa (retired Pastor now) to the nursing homes and play the piano while my Grandma sang to them, then he would have a Bible study.... Miss those days. My grandparents are still alive; I am truly blessed to have them. (92 & 81 years young) 💟

Thank you for watching))) I've never had much luck sending fresh things in the mail...not sure if it was my packaging or choices of treats. And just as an update, my sister passed away last year(((. I know how she always loved receiving the packages I sent. When I would go visit, I would find where she had kept every packing box.)))

how about seasonal funny headbands for the holiday? fancy shower caps, packets of air freshners for their drawers or closets. I had sent pop up cards. If you see a movement activated figure...I think I sent a snowman to my Mom last year....she liked that. Plus my family makes sure their is a bowl of chocolates, candy in her room ......for the nurses, staff to come in take one and say "Hi". We put a bird feeder outside her window. Window stickers. You are doing a good job. Stay safe.
